It pisses me off how do we conjure up to get into such situations from absolute winning situations. It happened in SA and once again. I am pretty sure that bookies who had put money on SA and NZ at the end of first session of third day, would have made a killing both the times. I am putting no allegation here, just highlighting that how we are throwing away such strong positions with alarming regularity.

NZ will at least let McCullum get 300, and I have a feeling they want to let Neesham get a ton or get out as well. That could be lunch. So lets say there is 65 overs left at lunch, bat 2 overs after so that is leaving 60 overs to bowl India out. That seems the most likely situation.

For mine there is just a 'sameness' about the attack, all bowl 75-80mph (120-135km), straight up and down. Every good attack has an outright quick, usually 2. Australia has 2 in Harris and Mitch, SA has 2 in Steyn and Morkel. India has who? Sharmi really only nudges 140kmph. You probably need Yadav out there. Helps a side to genuinely blast out the tail with a quick bowler.

The pitch hasn't deteriorated to such an extent for us to be bowled out but yeah it can always happen. If NZ had put us in to bat tomight for a few overs with around 300 odd to get, I'm certain we would have lost a couple of wkts as we were on the field for more than 2 days. Now it's less than a day to negotiate but it doesn't really matter coz we are losing the series anyway. Whether we lose it 0-1 or 0-2 is immaterial.

Need someone like Vaas who might bowl slow but can swing and control the ball at will, an outright pacer who is encouraged to pick up wickets, and someone who can offer something diff - perhaps bounce, reverse swing, etc. And more imp, we need an allrounder because a 4 bowler attack won't work.

Siddle is much slower, 136-138kmph. Has changed his bowling to be a lot more accurate. You need an outright quick OR a Trent Boult type a genuine swing bowler. At the moment you have 3 meduim fast seam bowlers, there is no variety, and then you make it worse when your spinner is ordinary too. Makes it hard.
