Can be better finisher than Raina...can build innings like dhoni
Need someone like that. Yuvraj was the last guy who could build an innings and finish it as well.

Good player and deserves a shot. but his technique is no better than some of the other bats in the Indian team.
i haer you,we got rohit and raina in the team who have bad technique and they are stuck to us like ticks,no reason why jadhav cannot play in asia cup.

And why is that?
Can't pull, can't hook, can't play big shots,(forget about the strike rate at domestic level, throws bat outside off stump, hence high strike rate) already 29 I think, slower reflexes. Not an ideal player to be making debut with these weaknesses.

You obviously haven't watched a lot of him. He plays the short ball pretty well like he showed against Mumbai. He is known for hitting the big shots, just that he didn't do so in this match because he wanted to score runs with minimal risk, which shows that he can score quickly without needing to hit boundaries. He isn't a "throw the bat" kind of batsman, he plays clean strokes. Maybe not the best fielder but at a time when the Indian middle order is failing the way it is in ODIs, they might need a good batsman first and good fielder second.

He struggled to put bat on ball against windies A team fast bowlers. Ver slow reflexes for his age. There are some qualities you expect from an international batsman and I'm sorry to say, kedar lacks it.

If things were done in merit, this guy would have been a permanent feature in the team but since our team is actually not India but the A team of CSK, he has to sit out and while people like Raina play.

I also remember him having a pretty good series against New Zealand 'A' later that year. Didn't seem to be troubled by his "slow reflexes".

that was on Bangalore pitch and I don't remember him hooking or pulling against fast bowlers. I hope our selectors have the eye for the right talent and ignore him. For record, let me be the first one to say he is no international material. Lol

Lol[/quote'] India A vs New Zealand A 1st unofficial ODI 2nd unofficial ODI 3rd unofficial ODI And this is Adam Milne and Matt Henry we're talking about. But it's alright. If you don't think he's "international material" after hardly having watched him play and making (inaccurate) judgments on his strengths and weaknesses based on what little you've seen of him, it's on you, not him.

Should've been selected in the Asia Cup squad in place of Rahane. Had he scored a big one in the first innings of the ROI vs Karnataka match, he probably would've been picked. Either way, they've disregarded his entire Ranji season and decided to stick with the same old underperforming players.

He has the X factor......only if he becomes more sensible with his shot selection...he can make an impact in international level.... This IPL will be very imp for him.....few big innings will put enough pressure on selectors and DHONI How is his fielding??
