Irfan Pathan instead of Ashwin - gives variety, adds more strength to lower order batting and some experience too. PK, Munaf, RP will all take the team backwards IMO.
Irfan has stopped bowling AFAIK.just playing as a batsman these days in FC. maybe Zak should retire in Tests and focus in ODIs :hmmm:

Agree. Zak will be more useful in ODIs than tests. IN ODIs, he can bowl 10 overs of good intensity in 3 spells while in test he will bowl 30-40 overs with no intensity. In ODIs, bowlers have more pressure on them than tests and these are young inexperienced bowlers. You do not need to play Zak every match. Rotate them which will guy like Shami a breathing space and will take the pressure off a bit.

Naah that was because Baroda wanted him to play as batsman and he wasn't fit enough to bowl.
While, regular injuries and inconsistent form have played a major role in his career, Irfan was happy to be back in business. Playing for Baroda as a specialist batsman, Irfan says the next few weeks are going to be extremely crucial for him. "I am back among runs, and now the next target is to start bowling regularly. I have to be completely match-fit in the next few weeks and I am working hard for that," Irfan said. The speedster has been advised by the physio to take things easy, and Irfan says the formula has worked well for him. "I am happy with the way I have batted, and it's really been a morale booster for me. Once I start bowling regularly, things would only get better," Irfan said.

thats good news.If he gets the swing back, can be very handy.left armer is always harder to play when its swinging in to RHB

Shami, Umesh, Aaron, BK and Pandey are the best bets we have as of now. Dhawal Kulkarni and Pankaj Singh are the other choices. We need to stick with this lot unless somebody better comes along. We should not chop and change unnecessarily. No point going back to the old failures. Our biggest problem has been the lack of tall, deck hitting bowlers who can bowl accurately. Even if they bowl in the 130s, it is ok. Since Pankaj Singh won't be taken, we need to find someone new who fits this spec. We need a better bowling coach.

Means we need at least one bowler like Mills who does not do too many things but hits good areas consistently and gets bounce as he is 6'5" and keeps the batsmen in check, so that bowlers from other end can be attacking.

Every team needs atleast one of these pacers. Even Southee is a similar bowler for NZ.

Aaron is a bindaas GUNDA bowler of Indian team. If he is not a GUNDA bowler right now, he will be. I will give him a long rope. GUNDA bowler. Let's call him GUNDA guys. He's our fastest, so he deserves this name. GUNDA. Aaj Gunde ke pitayi ho gayi, but he is a good prospect.
