What are the issues you think team India should concentrate and sort it instead of chopping and changing too much. I would say we should get our opening batting sorted out in the first place. Get a proper opening batsman. Bring back either gambhir or Vijay and see how it goes with them. Drop the likes of rahane, rayudu and rope in pujara, zol/ Samson. Rahane and raydu are just too slow for limited overs cricket. Drop ashwin and get someone like kuldeep yadav or bring in a spinner from domestic matches if he is impressive enough. In the fast bowling department, bring back umesh yadav for ishanth Sharma. Finally, captain should be told to get the results or leave it honorably before its too late. your views please.

Tendulkar_Bhai Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Just got to take the positives from this and hopefully make changes as bar the WI home series, we have tough ODI's in ENgland and Australia which can only be a good thing having an eye on the WC 2015. We should really be down 4-0 in this series and the key weaknesses have been the openers and fast bowling. I was surprised that Gambhir isnt in the squad as him and Dhawan would be our best bet...Vijay did ok in SA but still not convinced by him on bouncy pitches, especially compared to GG who has done it before and is still hungry. Rohit has had too many chances and Rahane has nothing nothing in ODI's, his great performances in the test series is keeping him in. Bring in Pujara, Gambhir, Rayudu and maybe Samson and the batting is sorted. Raina also is not good enough outside india. Bowling is a mess, plus these pitches are not playing like typical NZ ones. BK is totally ineffective now even in the first 10 overs and has not lived up to his comparisons of Wasim Akram and doesnt get the outswing like Zak to trouble batsman. Ashwin has been poor but is still our best spinner unless you give a youngster a go. His batting is his one plus, given his age he should probably be persisted with, especially as Spinners down under will not play a massive role. Shami - the one bright star of the last 3-6 months!! Pace, swing, accuracy he has it all. Aaron/Yadav - with this pace both have a good future just need some proper coaching and planning on where to bowl. Aaron cant be judged after one bad game. Zak/Munaf - both sorely missed...Zak especially cant belive he hasnt been picked after a decent test series. Hopefully we see Pandey play in the last ODIs.

cowboysfan Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 our bowling sucks.they are incapable of keeping things tight on these flat wickets and these ar the kinds of wickets we will see in the WC,i am not sure anything can be done to be honest.to win the WC you have to play consistent cricket in the knockouts and that means our batsmen have to play extra ordinarily to win every game.I wish the WC was played in the SC or England but our goose is cooked for the WC,i just hope we dont lose to the pakis.
Number Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 I am not in support of too much chopping and changing in Odis. We have good players of this format who had success. Just need to settle down. This series we have been bad as whole team didnt click together.

All Dhoni brings as captain is the same tired and bankrupt tactics in every game irrespective of the conditions and the opposition. His overseas record is just awful and he is way past his sell by date.
cowboysfan Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 our batting has been consistent the whole series and it can certainly improve but our bowlers except jaddu dont belong in the international game atm,dhoni has a lot of faults he cant stop the bowlers from bowling utter filth.
