You know how critical I have been of dhoni and yes backing dhoni and Ipl conflict of interest is 2 things I am critical of Srinivasan but apart from that administration wise he has been ruthless which is what we need. Is selecting binny the bcci chairmans fault? I hope you realise that Dalmiya and Ganguly had the same dynamic too....the difference is the results were different. Make any franchise owner the BCCI or ICC president things will be similar. Why the lies??? You even stated earlier that one bad thing is that srini makes sure dhoni is skipper no matter what. You said apart from that.... So he is directly responsible for team sucking and having captain not replaced as he wont allow him to be sacked. After aus tour for example selction committe decided to sack dhoni but srini came running to rescue Yadav and aaron not in team is directly down to cpatain, cpatain who srini insists must stay. If at least some part of the extra money that BCCI is going to get from this deal is to be put into improving the infrastructure and development at grass roots level, I'm all for it. But the chest thumping at having one over the goras seems silly and immature. Srini is power hungry and he's got what he wanted, but that's his personal victory and nothing for us to boast about as a cricketing nation.

It will also mean a serious reduction of overseas tours for Mahendra Singh Dhoni & Co over the next eight years till 2023, when the upcoming FTP cycle elapses. According to a BCCI official, the Indian team will be playing two home series every year and their annual schedule is unlikely to include more than one foreign visit. The logic behind the BCCI’s decision to burgeon their home season is straightforward. Playing at home entails more revenue for the Indian board as compared to when their team is abroad —not only from ticket-sales but also from sponsors and TV rights.
