Australia firm favourites for WC2015 if Johson continues this form.

Aus is always a favorite for the World Cup, with or without Johnson and irrespective of the venue. Aussies are mentally strong and you will have your hands full when you are up against them. They never go down easily and you have to play well to beat them.

Yeah they should make the finals - am anxious to see whether baileys lack of test runs will in any way mess his ODI skills - maxwells going to be scary late overs. If not us fellows for whatever reason am rooting for the kiwis to take them on. Johnson is Johnson.
Mitch was not impressive in the ODI games against Poms just hope that somehow he gets out of form in ODI's Aussie attack can go for plenty.

Didn't Bailey perform well in odis against Eng? I thought he did quite well but maybe I'm confusing him with Maxwell. Their odi team is loaded with openers like Warner & Finch. They have decent middle order batsmen in Marsh & Clarke, have hard-hitting wks in Haddin & Wade, have all-rounders in Watson, Coulter-Nile & Faulkner, late order hitters in Maxwell, Bailey, Faulkner etc. and a tearaway pacer in Johnson. Their only weakness is a lack of quality spinner but that's unlikely to make a difference in Aus & NZ. And did I mention they are the best fielding side in the world.

Strong batting lineup - didn't catch their odis vs. eng to be honest but if baileys doing alright great. Yeah their bowling should be a worry - I would bring in one more of their test quick but apparently MJ, Faulker and Watson are a shoo in. Mckay has this reputation of being a limited overs specialist but yes their spinner will be taken apart in the middle overs especially in the knockout stages.
Bailey was poor actually did not make too many

Thing is they have most of the bases covered for odis. They have power hitters at the top, reliable middle order, hitters lower down the order, bunch of pace all-rounders and batting which goes all the way down to 10! They may not be the best team but they will be very very hard to beat.

Yeah precisely my worry though its still 12 months off the tourney hope he finds a way to get among the runs again.
If we want to win it its quite simple to be the best you got to beat the best like how we did in 2011 no excuses whatsoever who ever plays you just knock them out.

Yeah if you are playing them in the knockouts have to positively win the toss bat first attack their average/above average bowling lineup and its pressure time for OZ playing at home.

Agreed but to beat Aussies you will have to come up with a brilliant individual performance. maybe a Kohli or Dhawan special or maybe a Dhoni blinder, or who knows a new ball spell which takes out 3-4 wkts. If not for a brilliant performance, I'm afraid it would be difficult to beat this Aussie team.

Yeah we wont be lifting the trophy with 40's and 60's - need people to get stuck in 80s and tons required. If our bowlings going to be weak have to bulk up on our fielding - give nothing away - only way really.
Yup. We can't match up with Aussie or SA bowling so we will have to catch up with our batting & fielding.

though our fielding is really good , outfielding aussies or saffers is not possible .. but our captain can outsmart clarke and smith in captaincy department :giggle:

Not true. In Champions Trophy we outfielded likes of SA and Eng when we played them. In fact we were the best fielding side in the tourney.

Yeah rainas scarred for good playing on home tracks vs. MJ - his mishits will be caught how much ever they bring in the ropes for the world cup :giggle:
After seeing these two series. don't think you can blame Raina. Smith, Fauf, Amla, Cook, Trott all got owned by MJ's short stuffs.
