TNAmarkFrmIndia Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 MS Dhoni has been ruled out of the forthcoming Asia Cup, to be played in Bangladesh from February 25, due to side-strain injury. Dhoni sustained a Grade I left side-strain injury during the second Test against New Zealand and will be undergoing rehabilitation for ten days, a BCCI release said in a statement. The All-India Senior Selection Committee has picked Dinesh Kartik as his replacement in the Indian squad for the tournament. Virat Kohli will lead India in the competition.
TNAmarkFrmIndia Posted February 20, 2014 Author Posted February 20, 2014 So I guess we'll get our wish after all. New captain. Will be interesting to see the players Kohli picks in the XI and how he does in his first big challenge as Indian captain.

The Realist Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Bigger question is what caused the side strain?...
zep1706 Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 He is our best ODI bat especially in SC, so will be missed. But it would be a good opportunity to see how Kohli fares as a captain. So that's a positive.
Switchblade Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Bigger question is what caused the side strain?... I was expecting this from you :acute:

This is where ipl will help even if quality is crap the pressure is very real in ipl But Kohli has been crap captain in that so I hope he has improved :two_thumbs_up:
