CSK Fan Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 How many threads for this 140' date='141 thingy? One for every Indian State police? There is an ego contest between different police organizations and a ratings war between the news channels. Just have some patience and wait for what the supreme court has to say on Mar 7th. Keep opposition to dhoni as a captain away from fixing allegations. Don't mix the two, to lend more credence to the former.[/quote'] That is not the only time and only source in which Dhoni's name figures though. Could I say you are bringing this opposition to Dhoni as a captain to divert attention away from the real problem?
CSK Fan Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 First of all fixing allegations are yet to be proven. As of now it is just he said, she said being reported by the media. The two need not be mutually inclusive. I can oppose dhoni as a captain without believing in phone conversations and allegations floating around. We are not pakistanis to use that kind of logic. You cannot damage indian cricket just because you hate dhoni's captaincy. If any other cricketer's name had come up in a document to the supreme court, statement by a SP and in transcripts of phone conversation, what would you have said? Ignore it? Look the other way? We are just discussing the fact that his name figured in these, not declaring him guilty. Though you do seem desperate to divert attention by claiming this is just to do with opposition to Dhoni's captaincy when the two are mutually exclusive. Heck, here we discuss things from cricketer's hair styles to horny women on planes. And something this big should be ignored?

CSK Fan Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 So in your view dhoni fixed ipl games? Nope, we are just discussing based on what has been revealed till now. That is allegations of fixing coming up during interrogation. So I guess my opinion will be, these should be thoroughly investigated instead of being swept under the carpet. And to investigate such high profile people, you need a big hue and cry and not ignore it like hhunaeh is claiming. The tournament has to be scrapped or cleaned once and for all otherwise it will claim more and more victims
Lord Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 Ganguly said right, let the law take its own course rather than jumping to conclusions. If Dhoni is involved,he'll eventually be caught imo.Don't think Srini or BCCI can influence SC.

I would like these allegations to remain allegations and the benefit of doubt given to the Indian captain till the supreme court has its say. Desperate to divert attention, lol ok. There have been so many posts about fixing this, fixing that and i make a couple of posts and that makes me desperate to divert attention?

If dhoni is involved Then he is biggest scum on earth. This notion that these things will be pushed under carpet is nonsense in my view. I dont believe for one sec srinivasan is involved in fixing or he would tolerate any player even if dhobi is involved in fixing.

putrevus Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 If Dhoni fixed domestic matches then he might have fixed international ones as well. Last loss to NZ was almost too unbelievable even for Indian bowling standards ... almost 600 runs for wickets 6,7,8 ... hmnnn. If he has done fixing in ipl nothing is going to stop him from doing in other matches but b4 putting that big blame on him , people have to wait don't you think .
putrevus Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 You would if you knew the history of India cements' date=' mafia delaings[/quote'] He might have all those what you said but still this company was in cricket b4 there was a dime to be made and no one could have predicted this kind of growth his biggest flaw might be covering up for his son in law.
asterix Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 This is one issue which Srini will defend, no matter what it takes... He tried to defend Guru by saying that he's merely a cricket enthuthuthusiast... This directly affects him. He's has so far managed to save CSK, kept under wraps any involvement of Dhobi, Raina etc... I don't think SC will be doing much in it. Things has been sorted already... If only media keeps on raising these issues then public pressure can be created... Else Srini has been successful in keeping things under wraps so far without affecting CSK...

Yes he will defend but what is he defending fixing or gambling they are two different things. You should lose your team for both but it is understandable if it just gambling.

This issue directly affects him... It's not about Guru, Dhoni or other fixers in the team... This leads directly to him...
bulbul Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 ^ Agree..Seeni mamoo will ready to sell his soul & cement mixed to save himself this time.. Also SC may not ask investigate Indian superstars. Between all of these what happened to the case of Inspector & his wife who dids mysteriously?
zep1706 Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 I am not a conspiracy theorist but I find both Raina and Dhoni not playing in the Asia cup together a little bit fishy. Dhoni looked fully fit in NZ. Although I must say that we need to be a little responsible here and shouldn't assume stuff before the court verdict.

Raina and Ishant were dropped before this thing appeared.they didn't play last 2-3 ODIs in NZ too. Raina is there in T20 squad as is Dhoni.I think we need to give Dhoni BOD as of now

Old guy Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 What exactly is supporting fixers? Is it electing one to MP status? Or is it covering it up? Like Gavaskar's locker room incident? People still support Sreesanth in india, just like people ask for his death. Similarly, people in pakistan still support Aamer, just like some people ask for the death penalty. What is the point of all this? Are we Pakistanis more morally corrupt? Because as far as I'm concerned, people are people everywhere. And yet you don't see the PCB censoring the matter do you? They're the ones who brought it to the press. A lot different from the BCCI who doesn't even allow any talk on the matter of Sreeshant or the current fiasco. On one hand you see we support fixers, and then when we ourselves bring it to light you laugh. LOL By the way, our domestic players make around 24 pounds a game. Just to put things into perspective. there is majority support for amir in pakistan ur board is fighting with icc to reduce ban our board which controls cricket in india banned people for life for same offence in domestic tournament... i know you to be very open minded so i hope you can see the big difference ....you cannot control corrupt people and tbh this was coming and dont be surprised if its bigger that international players are also involved cos matches were very fishy but i hope that every one of them is punished and banned for life
