his problem is he is very strong in few areas but does not scores much form other thats why his strike rate is low even after hitting so many boundaries and at international level good bowlers find this out quickly. anyway all depends on how rahane does in t20 ..would be funny to see uthappa and dhawan open who used to open for india a long time ago and were highly rated back then :--D still remember how much i loved uthappa's on drive ..

Umm Uthappa has a 90+ strike rate in ODI's

he used to step out and hit ball around the park back then its not something isaid based on matches he payed but more from ipl and and seeing his batting lately..he play shots but other batsmen would have strike rate over 120 with same kinds of risks

Praveen Amre should be hired as a batting coach.. if not anything, Uthappa has been more consistent in ODI's & hasnt done badly in Ranji

Has scored all his runs at the top of the order in the lst 2-3 years especially in one dayers and T20s..Because he won a couple of good knocks batting at 6-7 years ago, doesnt make him a good lower order batsman.
