India or England: which team is going through the bigger slump?

India: has had a horrid away season so far, but can take lots away from the way their batsmen batted in South Africa. England: everything is ****ed... home or away... Both teams seem to lack that knock out punch at the moment, and both teams are going through "transition", although for India that's less of an excuse seeing how well they played in the Champions Trophy. Other teams going through transition like NZ have done much much better.

India..but it's not really a slump just going through phrase of finding new players and at same time lost few players to injury and bad form while worry for England is they are having bad time in prime years of players like Cook and bell and even broad or Anderson

We are yet to find a good combination in ODIs. Seems like they are going all panicky before the WC. In Test, I believe we have a much more settled side. Bowling department could certainly be much better with some sensible selections.

Most of our young batsmen did well in SA and NZ series which is a good sign. We could have won a test in Joburg and both tests in NZ but couldnt finish the games. Same thing in NZ ODIs. We had our chances in 3 games and yet we couldnt win. The trend has continued here in Asia Cup. Its one of those phases where a team does well and yet ends up losing. So near yet so far.

Problem right now is clicking together We are seeing some contributions here and there but no one is consistent but that is expected at start of career so I won't fault rahane,Rayadu but problem is with rohit a nd dhawan who have to understand that they are seniors and have to make big score after a start and support guys on other end even Kohli but he can't do it alone.. Bowling wise I think everyone will agree it's. Uh much better attack than what we fielded last time in Asia cup and have performed decently in every match until now even though they have not been outstanding but in 2 nd innings it was good effort and no one really lost the game

not in team but they have tons of experience in ipl, ranji and rohit has more than 120 odis under his name and is 27 years old and dhawan is even older and has been around indian team for long long time rohit is senior by every way you can think off even if u just include indian matches a person like rayadu who is just getting chance will take time or even rahane but after 100 odis little bit of responsibility and consistency is not really big thing to ask for. rohit first loses form..then finds form after playing slowly then starts getting starts but throws away after 40 or 50 and then hits a purple patch after one year where he scores 2-3 100s this has been his career until now and i am not making this up:cantstop:

DK is the seniormost in this team. When he was playing for India, Kohli was in his early teens and playing school cricket. :giggle: Rayudu is next - when he was being regarded as the next great batting hope (in 2001), Kohli hadn't even reached teenage then. :haha: Dhawan is next - When he scored tons of runs in the 2004 U-19 WC, he came back as a hero and Kohli used to go to the stadiums with his friends to watch Dhawan bat. And Rohit...

See they never got big run in team and did not score 1000 runs in previous calendar year and own tournaments . Rohit is senior on amount. Of matches alone a nd dhawan is pretty damn experienced he is guy who is opening for us in all formats and like u said has been around for long time Karthik is mental midget so let's leave him out it's like saying u expect Binny to win matches :giggle: Rayadu just got chance and has looked better with every game I think if he does well in future he is kind of guy u can count on in tough situations ..maybe because his state team has been so weak that he carried batting on his own for long time :giggle:

Not sure why their is even a doubt India is going through a bigger slump compared to england. England just lost in aus, while we have lost in eng, aus, sa and nz. Even pak beat us today.

India have been in a slump for a while actually. Certain wins like CT, home thrashings to Aus/WI have made it look less. Funny how last time around it was battle of the then no.1 Indian test team vs a team that was on the way to no.1 and now its going to be battle of 2 crappy teams

India. At least England have woken up, realized that something is going wrong and are taking necessary steps. Meanwhile in India everybody is plain delusional. We have won 1 of our last 20 matches and everybody is making crappy excuses.
