dial_100 Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 I agree. The Uni did the right thing. For Pak jindabad, they can willingly to move to PoK and attend the facilities there. I am okay if they are cheering for whichever team. It is just a stupid cricket match. But the other part is objectionable.
dial_100 Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 There has to be a balance between carrot and stick.Obviously these idiots thought that they could shout Pakistan Zindabad in UP and then get away.Sorry if you are so much in love with Pakistan pack your bags and go and live there. Regarding the Kashmiri land well the Indian Army got it back from the Pakistani invaders and the Maharaja officially aceded to India so if some nut job thinks that he and a few thousand people can take it then he is day dreaming. What i have seen is that most of these nut jobs are from Srinagar and surrounding areas and not from the whole valley. There have been some army excesses in Kashmir and the GOI needs to look very carefully into this and learn a lesson and try to rehabilitate such people. These INDEPENDENT propoganda people dont understand that a tiny land locked country surrounded by 3 nuclear powers wont last 2 decades before it becomes a play ground of power politics and ends up being another afghanistan. The Pro Pak idiots must first look at what Pak has done in Bangladesh and what is happening in Pakistan on a daily basis but then they are brainwashed in the name of religion. + totaly.
cowboysfan Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 I have no idea why these kashimirs so love the worst country in the world,i just dont get it at all. They should be thanking their lucky stars they are a part of an actual functioning democracy with real rules and regulations.
Sarkar Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 to hell with these lot i have more respect for people like zaheer khan and pathan bros
zaqw222222 Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 My friend is a kashmiri and she told me that there were lots of celebrations in Srinagar when Pakistan won. Agree with sunnyji_2k that these ppl should realize what is happening in Pakistan on daily basis.
kabbirann Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Thankless bastards. First they did ethnic cleansing of pundits and now this. I am glad they were sent home. I agree.I hate people like this-jis thali main khate hain use main ched karte hain.
Midfielder Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 & some feel we have to strengthen our weak links. :wall: Enough of carrots. time for sticks.
Debutant Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 These bastards should be sent to Pakiland. Jis thali pe khate hain usi me ched karten hain
Muloghonto Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Article 315 (or was it 319 ? I can't remember) needs to be lifted. It is clear that the ultimate solution of Kashmir is to make Kashmiris a minority in Kashmir. Oh and FFS make Ladakh a seperate state already from those Jihadi Jaahils.
scorpio90 Posted March 5, 2014 Author Posted March 5, 2014 Its Article 370 and there is no need to lift it directly. Just dilute its provisions slowly. Like allowing people from other states to buy property and settle there. And you are right, demographics need to be favorable to India.

And you are right' date=' demographics need to be favorable to India.[/quote'] Just like Pakistan used the nutters to expel the Pandits GOI should allow settling of Indians there and FFS seal of the bloody border with Pakistan. No Pakistani allowed in Indian territory through roads.
bulbul Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Thank god for publishing VC's name or else there should have been usual ramblings here accusing descrimination.
CSK Fan Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 & some feel we have to strengthen our weak links. :wall: As of now, it is just the brain washed few who support Pakistan. However if you use force and bans, almost everyone will go against India sooner or later No country in the world has been able to subdue an entire Region by only force for a long time. As soon as the force is reduced insurgencies will happen again The right way is to use love and acceptance. India has been doing this for a while now and that's why things have cooled down a lot in Kashmir. As I said, these guys are in the minority, it is just that they are very vocal about these things
gattaca Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Thank god for publishing VC's name or else there should have been usual ramblings here accusing descrimination. He is an indian than these folks protesting.
Alph Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 We really dont have to be this insecure. A warning about the potential trouble such actions may cause and some disciplining would have sufficed.
Stuge Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 UP varsity suspends 67 Kashmiri students for celebrating Pakistan's victory over India http://zeenews.india.com/sports/cricket/up-varsity-suspends-67-kashmiri-students-for-celebrating-pakistan-s-victory-over-india_781729.html
Utalk Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Whilst I don't agree with the act of these students some responses here are mind boggling. As someone who grew up 10 miles from LOC in Pakistani Kashmir I can safely say grass always looks greener on the other side. The so called Azad Kashmir despite having the best litracy rate and the lowest crime rate compared to any other province of Pakistan is lagging behind in infrastructure. No airport in the state despite around 40% of population living overseas. You can't take part in legislative assembly elections without swearing allegiance to Pakistan. We pay the highest electrify tariff despite having the biggest Mangla dam in Azad kashmir that produces cheap hydroelectricity. That is the reason many of 3rd generation are pro free kashmir. Now coming to those advocating change in demographics how would you have reacted if British did the same. Another question Maharaja of Kashmir who was never elected whose forefathers bought the land ceded with India now when Mughals were the rulers they could've done the same say they ceded with Turkish Khilafat. Would that have been fair on people of Hindustan? We live in 21st century if ppl of certain region want self governance they have every right to strive for it. Its no excuses that they wont survive among powerful neighbours. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk Its a matter of time b4 an independent Kashmir ceases to exist- assuming it did in the first place. Rule of thumb of politics is nations expand. Even EU is going towards a single entity and eventually it will be one state. The job of a government is to provide security to its citizens. Social and literal. Its a proven fact that security is better provided when borders follow geographic boundaries than social. So the way I see it, kashmir will eventually be either indian or paki. To ensure it stays Indian, we need to allow other indians to own land in kashmir. I am not talking about making kashmiris go extinct, I am talking about making other indians also kashmiri. There is nothing wrong in that. Sent from my GT-S5830D using Tapatalk 2
hhunaeh Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 http://www.nytimes.com/2014/03/06/world/asia/kashmir-students-india-pakistan-cricket-team.html?_r=0 NEW DELHI — Kashmiri students at a private university in northeastern India were suspended indefinitely and removed from their dorms on Monday after they cheered for the Pakistani team during a televised cricket match against India. “You cannot pass judgments against your own national team,†said Manzoor Ahmed, vice chancellor of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University in Meerut, explaining the decision to remove the students. “Their behavior was not conducive to peace on the campus. It creates bad blood with the local boys.†Cricket is a national obsession in India. Some Kashmiris root against the Indian team because of resentment from decades of national policies deemed oppressive there, including routine arrests of pro-independence figures and thousands of disappearances. India and Pakistan, once part of the same country, violently divided in 1947 and have since fought three wars, two of them over Kashmir, a region divided between the two countries. Pakistan has been the source of repeated terrorist attacks in India, including one in Mumbai in 2008 that killed more than 160 people. The issue of the suspensions was raised in Kashmir’s Parliament on Tuesday by the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, which supports the suspended students. The Bharatiya Janata Party and the Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party did not support the students and walked out of Parliament to protest the discussion. The university rented several buses to take the 67 suspended students off campus after the episode, which happened on Sunday. Only a few of them cheered too enthusiastically, Mr. Ahmed said, but because no one would tell administrators who had done so, all but one of the Kashmiri students in a dorm dominated by them were suspended. “They shared guilt because nobody came out with information,†Mr. Ahmed said. A chair and a pane of glass were also broken during the game, Mr. Ahmed said. But he said that cheering for Pakistan was the most egregious offense. The Kashmiri students will have to appeal their suspension before being allowed to return to the university, Mr. Ahmed said. India has an ambivalent relationship toward free speech. Statements or writings deemed hurtful to some groups are illegal, and the works of certain authors have sometimes been banned. Salman Rushdie’s “Satanic Verses†is still banned, and last month a prominent publisher withdrew a scholarly book because of a lawsuit claiming that it denigrated Hindus. Hurt feelings can sometimes prompt mass killings, which have afflicted India for most of its modern history. Meerut is in Uttar Pradesh, a giant state that has suffered more than 100 deadly riots over the past year, including one in Muzaffarnagar in August that caused 43 deaths and led thousands to flee their homes. A shared love of cricket has sometimes brought India and Pakistan, nuclear-armed neighbors who perpetually flirt with war, closer, but it can also be explosive. In a separate episode, a Kashmiri student at Career Point Gurukul in Kota, a test-preparation academy, said in an interview that administrators gave a dozen Kashmiri students a separate room to watch Sunday’s match, fearing a confrontation. The student asked that his name not be used for fear of reprisals. When India lost, he was chased by a mob of fellow students, from whom he barely escaped, he said. Administrators eventually moved the Kashmiri students to a protected building, he said. “I was born in Kashmir, and since childhood everyone around me supported the Pakistan cricket team,†the student said. “I don’t like Pakistan for anything else. It’s just their cricket team that I support.â€
