TNAmarkFrmIndia Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 We saw it in the Champions Trophy last year. We're seeing it again. Our bowlers look untouchable. Our batsmen are scoring runs with ease. Do India tend to lift their game up at ICC events, or do opponents crumble under high pressure at ICC events and we respond much better to it?
zen Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Ind has a great record when it comes to winning major tourneys .... However, it is not consistent. In some tourneys, you will find Ind playing crap, while in some it will be awesome. But I will take Ind's record vs. some of the teams who do well consistently but fail to lift the cup. Aus is an exception in a way that it does both - lifts cups and does well in most tourneys on a consistent basis
Cricket Tragic Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Not really. Just that the conditions suited us in England and looks like the same in Bangladesh. Once our spinners get into the game, we are a force.

G_B_ Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 This win leaves me feeling hot and cold. Where is the ruthlessness from India? Conceding plenty of wides. Two dropped catches. Dumb no balls. 21 runs conceded in the last over to a *****y batsman. The batting as well. Poor start with the wicket. Taking only 2 balls from 20 end. This should have been finished off in 18 overs. There will be a time when its a close match and things like this will mean we lose. In the asia cup we lost v Pak and SL cause of dropped catches and stumpings.

NareshK Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 We tend to raise our game in big tournaments but also have to say, we generally do well when spinners do well.

Memories of yuvi laughing at Aaron comes to mind... Karma is a ***** :p
Pagalpanti Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 MS certainly looked a lot more focused. He's like a man on a mission. Wonder if playing & captaining non-stop cricket across formats makes him a bit jaded and predictable.
NareshK Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Memories of yuvi laughing at Aaron comes to mind... Karma is a ***** :p He was not laughing at him but just laughing casually. It was a warm up game, so they were not taking it seriously.
Cricket Tragic Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 You are back :omg: welcome back. Thanks! Sabby - 39k posts? :omg:
Old guy Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 He was not laughing at him but just casually. It was a warm up game' date=' so they were not taking it seriously.[/quote'] I have seen raina backing awana after bad fielding putting arm around him I have never seen any other player in any team laugh at team mate who is clearly struggling and might lose place in team cos of that...
FischerTal Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Thanks! Sabby - 39k posts? :omg: despite all those exams he supposedly gives :cantstop:
Old guy Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Thanks! Sabby - 39k posts? :omg: Everytime! U need to look at VVS
Sachin=GOD Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Thanks! Sabby - 39k posts? :omg: thats because he can't post much due to studies :giggle:

Rahane should open cause rohit played a selfish, team-staying knock. rahane is a much better fielder too

Ball pitched outside leg spun even further away from leg stump

G_B_ Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 I just want a game where India take all their catches and stumpings.
