Asim Posted March 25, 2014 Author Posted March 25, 2014 If its about their "history" then why just ban Pak supporters or Pak flags :dontknow: Simply ban cricket with Pak especially inside BD
Pioneer Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 I get that its a touchy subject with Pakistan involved but banning your citizens from enjoying a game in whatever way they please is just stupid. It just looks petty and that too in a world event. Im suprised at the comments in this thread. Sure it may look uncomfortable for BD fans to cheer for Pak but theyre cheering for the Afridis and Ajmals not Pakistan.

KeyboardWarrior Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Let us see how Pakis would react if some minorities in your country would cheer for India in "just a game" Oh that's right, you guys took a totally different approach to fix that issue ICC T20 World Cup 2014 : India vs Pakistan - 21st March 2014 Karachi Biggest joke is when Pakis say its just a game. They literally take every World Cup game against India like its a war and they wet their pants during the game because of pressure and they are saying its just a game. Yes ... its 9-0 ,Next time it will be 10-0 .... So what ??? The world is not going to End .... :cantstop: If you want to take Cricket "Seriously" thn the Joke is On you Bro ..... Cricket is a Game .... Simple. If bangladesh is so sensitive about issues of past both bcb and their govt would be better off not hosting world events. When hosting world events people want to cheer for their favorite teams and players who may not be from their national team. When you are prohibiting people from cheering, you as govt and organizing host are making it more than just sporting event. As a host your responsibility lies in giving people freedom to express themselves as long as they are not causing any issues to other people. +1
KeyboardWarrior Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 If its about their "history" then why just ban Pak supporters or Pak flags :dontknow: Simply ban cricket with Pak especially inside BD The most amazing thing is that , why (Few) ICFers are getting angry with BD fans who are supporting pakistani team ??? .... :winky:
The Outsider Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 why do you always pop up in these threads i dont see you commenting in any other cricket related threads. He has commented in hazaar other threads. Your research is poor.
The Outsider Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 If its about their "history" then why just ban Pak supporters or Pak flags :dontknow: Simply ban cricket with Pak especially inside BD Yeah, that's the next step before my request to all to keep it civil. :wall:
horizonspeaks Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 In Bangladesh, I am not sure how there can be Pakistan fans who take Pakistan flags to the ground to cheer for them ... simply baffling!
Tiger-Don Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 now waiting to see what bcb tells icc about why they wont let bangladeshis hold on to flags of other countries. to be honest, i agree with this.
moniker Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Of course it's just a game and anyone should feel free to support any team. It is the waving of the other country's national flag that is the issue. If you just support the other team there are a lot of other ways to express your support other than waving their national flag. If I want to support Australia in a match (be it against India or any other country) I wouldn't drape myself with their national flag, maybe I'd raise banners supporting them or wear their jerseys. Using the flag would amount to patriotism towards the country which I don't have.
Iconoclast Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 This decision was motivated by internal Bangladeshi politics more than anything else. At the end of the day, flag or no flag, people are still going to cheer who they want to cheer.
Tapioca Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Breaking News : ICC takes notice of Bangladesh govt banning waving of flags of other countries' date= to seek clarification of BCB. ICC takes serious interest in such issues but when it comes to trivial issues like someone condemned by the Supreme Court becoming its own president, it has no opinion.
Texy Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 In Bangladesh' date=' I am not sure how there can be Pakistan fans who take Pakistan flags to the ground to cheer for them ... simply baffling![/quote'] Jamaati crowd. They betrayed their country even in 71 by helping Pak army locate the intellectuals and the rebels and the minority to be killed.
Asim Posted March 26, 2014 Author Posted March 26, 2014 Jamaati crowd. They betrayed their country even in 71 by helping Pak army locate the intellectuals and the rebels and the minority to be killed. Most of this "Jamaati crowd" was not even born in 1971 :giggle:
