Have been hearing about this for a while now.....Might just be the next must have tech Gizmo.....Will it be path breaking like the Ipod,Iphone and IPad. I saw some developer/exploerer versions of this on sale on ebay ranging between $1500-$2000 Watch this space,might be the next big thing....anyone has more info? PS-Saw the display for the Samsung smart watch what a joke of a pointless invention

The goal? To combine "high-end technology with avant-garde design" Google is getting a little help in its quest to make Google Glass as stylish as it is technologically advanced. Italian eyewear designer Luxottica, which owns popular brands Oakley and Ray-Ban, announced on Monday plans to design and sell new versions of the Google headwear. “We believe it is high time to combine the unique expertise, deep knowledge and quality of our group with the cutting-edge technology expertise of Google and give birth to a new generation of revolutionary devices,” Luxottica Group CEO Andrea Guerra said in a statement. The Oakley and Ray-Ban brands will be involved in the development of the product, which the company said in a press release will “combine high-end technology with avant-garde design.” Oakley has been on the cutting edge of wearable gadgets: the brand has already developed a product like Google Glass that can show outdoor-sports enthusiasts their distance, speed and GPS location on their ski goggles.

maniac Posted March 26, 2014 Author Posted March 26, 2014 @Admin,they are trying to make it a style+tech gizmo,I am skeptical on it as well but seems more useful than teh smart watch @Strike-The price is too much for a product still in testing phase...wonder what the actual market price would be.....But looks like the next hot gizmo for now atleast.....might be a flop like the electric scooter or could be the next Ipad atleast

I remember nasser hussein talking about mounting a cam on a helmet to provide a first person view of mitchell johnson's bowling. The plan was then abandoned i believe. The Outsider Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 ^It's not awkward as long as people don't realize you are wearing it, and think you are wearing regular spectacles. It does freak people out if they know you are wearing it. I think it will do very well once the product hits a critical mass when people you are interacting with do not feel unsettled by your donning them and/or when there are enough people around you wearing it that you lose the sense of insecurity. I found it to be a really cool gadget, just that it has a long path to social acceptance - long in our modern society can be around 1-5 years if the product is useful.
