BeautifulGame Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 There is a grace period right? There is rajya sabha elections in UP 20th nov but BJP as per sources will put forward Madhav (RSS man) Six months
G_B_ Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 thanks for the info should be getting a RS ticket then
randomGuy Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 Sudarshan news doing a great job against Owaisis. Would be great if the effort results in MIM getting banned.
surajmal Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 Tavleen Singh appears very inarticulate these days which is symptomatic of large majority of mainstream right of centre politics/journalism (save for Swapan Dasgupta and Kanchan Gupta). Ofcourse it is understandable since Libtards tend to be of the gungadeen variety and are often educated in libtard institutions of the west. But, it just tells you how much of an uphill battle Rajagopalachari and his Swatantra party faced. Internet really is a big boon for economic liberalism (and everything else) in India. On a similar note, that is why I am ambivalent about the RSS history project. Debunking of Commie history of India has been happening for the 20 years in the cyberspace. As the internet spreads, so will the awareness.
G_B_ Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 and on another note, i had earlier quoted RSS' Ram Madhav would be the nominee from UP. Looks like Parikar will get the nod and Madhav will be accommodated later on. Modi wants Parikar quickly in.
G_B_ Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 In the grand context of things Goa remains a politically unimportant state Delhi municipal elections are probably more important. Thats not to say that BJP should just ignore Goa but I am sure Parikar will lend a hand in Goa when elections happen in 2017. surajmal Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 How does Shah respond to shakedowns? :hysterical:
G_B_ Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 To be frank i sort of support him. If he is deputy CM then by right he should get it. Simple as that. There needs to be a degree of autonomy in state units. To be frank the central leadership should not be concerning itself with what happens in Goa. A state worth 2 lok sabha seats. If you did not believe in him then he should never have been made deputy CM. As simple as that.
Texan Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Dy CM Francis D'Souza threatens to resign if not chosen as next Chief Minister Read more at: http://news.oneindia.in/india/goa-dy-cm-francis-d-souza-threatens-resign-if-not-chosen-as-chief-minister-1554942.html Actually, I will be extremely disappointed if BJP does not make him CM. He is the Deputy CM, so by order of seniority, he must be next in line if the CM resigns. If BJP truly wants to spread it's wings to be the "inclusive party" that they aspire to be, then he must be made CM.
G_B_ Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Its not just a question of being inclusive. He is a senior MLA who has been with the BJP for a long long time. So its not as if he has come into the party and its claiming to want to be CM cause he is catholic. By the looks of it both Hindu and Catholic MLAs are supporting him. I still think what happened in Maharashtra with Khadse was bit of a joke. They did not even give him the home ministry.
G_B_ Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 the rss IMO have won out and it sends a terrible message
FischerTal Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 by now they should know amit shah doesn't tolerate dissent...
jalebi_bhai Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 the rss IMO have won out and it sends a terrible message It seems like he was one of the most deserving candidates but statements like "If I'm not CM then I will think twice if I should be in Government" won't win you any favors with anyone.......there is nothing wrong with ambition and desire.......but one shouldn't act like a billy big bollocks.......besides, he has agreed to carry on as deputy........was probably privately told to stay in line......

Was he really second in seniority in BJP Goa to be made the deputy CM, or was he made the deputy CM to appease the 26% percent Christian population of the state. If it was the second case, i dont see how he automatically assumes to be next in line for the CM position.

And that is exactly what BJP is opposing Congress on. If they truly wanted to prove that this move was not for appeasement, then they should have made him CM.
