dial_100 Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Only include Prepoll alliance for NDA tally. BJP, SS, SAD, LJP, TDP and all other smaller groups. If you give less than 272, state the names of the parties who will potentially support the NDA government.

Mariyam Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 If I feel that the NDA final tally will be 240 seats. Then what option do I go for- the 230-240 or 240-250?
urbestfriend Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 I had predicted 230-240 to NDA 6 months back , but now that I see Modi is attacking possible post-election allies, I think BJP might be sniffing a simple majority. I guess it will be around 250-260.
randomGuy Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 The lower the better. Stock markets will tank, I too will lose money due to that...so what. The process of churning has begun and if NDA comes to power, it will leave no stone unturned to try n destroy AAP by all unfair means possible.

The AAP representatives are doing their best to destroy their own image. And this is coming from someone who has voted for the AAP in this GE. PS: The stock markets will tank if we have a hung parliament. Otherwise, irrespective of the winner, it should be business as usual.

Yes, some have made really bad comments (like Shazia). These are detrimental to the party esp. since it is a new party trying to find its feet. None the less, BJP/congress will always try to plant false stories in media, conspire, use their position in Govt. unfairly etc to destroy AAP. PS: The stock markets will tank if we have a hung parliament. Otherwise, irrespective of the winner, it should be business as usual. Mostly Right but not entirely right imo. There seems to be a yearning for change everywhere, stock markets will prefer NDA slightly more than UPA i guess. Both options for them are vastly better than a hung parliament ofcourse. (I had made the last post assuming UPA wont come to power.)
ravishingravi Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 What is happening RG ? Weren't you leading in 201 seats. Don't let the BJP con fool you. You will be forming the govt.
ravishingravi Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 240-250 seats for NDA. Reasonable estimate I think. Orissa and TN will be surprise package.

dial_100 Posted May 1, 2014 Author Posted May 1, 2014 240-250 seats for NDA. Reasonable estimate I think. Orissa and TN will be surprise package. Go ahead and vote then. Push the right button my friend. Thats what I feel too.
randomGuy Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 My Estimates for NDA (Slightly on the conservative side) UP+Bihar+Chhattisgarh+Jharkhand = 80 seats Rajasthan + Gujarat + Maharashtra + MP = 100 seats Rest of North India (including Delhi) = 20 seats South India (TDP is with NDA) = 30 seats Orissa+Assam+WB+North East = 10 seats Total = ~240 seats So, Even on conservative estimation, it looks as if the NDA is going to form the next Govt.. But if these estimates are true, I doubt that it will be Modi who will be the PM. If they exceed 240 and get 260, then Modi will be the PM surely.

IMO anything more than 220 for NDA would probably mean Modi as PM.
randomGuy Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 IMO anything more than 220 for NDA would probably mean Modi as PM. Amma could support him. BJD, YSRcongress - I dont know. Who else?

According to twitter exit polls, NA has already bagged 210 seats tiill now, and they are expected to get 45-50 of remaining 105 seats majorly from UP and Andhra. So I think 250-260 is very much on the cards.
Sachin=GOD Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Amma could support him. BJD' date=' YSRcongress - I dont know. Who else?[/quote'] IF NDA gets more than 220 then I don't think there will be any problem in attracting post poll allies.
