The only reason WB has made social progress is cause their social policies are funded by states like Guj Maha and Tamil nadu Really????? I hope that the new Central Govt is NOT going to think in this manner about any state. Would be really disastrous for India if the NDA Govt, just like the previous UPA Govt, decided to punish the people of a state for voting for other parties. The only credible alternative to the communists in WB has come in form of Mamta and unfortunately for the common people who supported her, she also has turned out be a disaster. Lets not blame the people for this.

Tamil nadu is developing well and is not dependent on the central gov. Yes there will be clashes on the Tamil issue. But i expect the bjp and aiadmk to get over that bump. add kerala as well to the list. the state basically survives on tourism and remittance from the Gulf

Also, it was the first major elections since she was elected so its not surprising that people gave her a second chance. Yeah, I do hope that they take action on illegal immigrants.

If anything some of the poorest areas in India are in bihar and north east. Concentrate there. Same goes for Maharashtra and Andhra pradesh. Just cause they are major allies of the bjp in that state does not mean all funds be diverted to these two states

I would say best thing is make Amit Shah BJP president for at least next two years and then expand party base in South, WB, Orissa. The man is a genius. 73 seats in UP attests to this

WB people need to understand its the BJP whom they did not vote for is actually coming to their rescue and not the raging cow. I am sure if Mamta didi continues her tantrums over next 5 years for no good reason, she'll be routed in WB by the lotus. That'd leave Kerala as the sole nut case state. Leave them, they are a universe of their own where only left parties and congress exists. No point really investing effort into that state because that's one of the most communally minded state in India and any attempts for BJP to win from there would require gargantuan efforts.
