The sena is run via money from the BMC. Lets just say they get paid well......the cadres especially. I say this time and time again, the strength of the sena is the BMC. So long as they have that they will be fine.

and btw thats not to say Uddhav Thakarey will reject any deal the bjp make him outright. But it needs to be a good deal. Otherwise the sena will sit back in the BMC.

For Haryana ML Khattar - CM. (Punjabi Khatri - good choice looking at 2017 Punjab elections) Capt. Abhimanyu - Dy CM. (Jat face of BJP, young leader so will be handy in snatching Jat votes from INLD in future)

BMC BMC BMC.lol UT made ut clear that he usnt leaving BJP in BMC or at the center. Sena has been shown their place. They cn sulk all they want but they have now lost the status of big party to BJP in Maharashtra.except Konkan BJP led SS every where.MNS is finished.Voters have shown that they will choose BJP or Sena over MNS. Also BJP was second on many seats won by others.

u think he is going to come out swinging before he formalises support with the mns? talks are still on going between the mns and sena. secondly he is keeping his options open. the shiv sena remain the only major regional outfit to increase their vote share and seat count going against the bip. not exactly the weakest of positions

BJP fought 238 seats and won 122.Thats a great SR.MNS and SS together wont dent BJP.Then BJP has the option of tieing up with NCP and then Vidarbha/Western Maha and Marathwada will he virtually theres and they will still give SS and MNS tough fight in Greater Mumbai. You must see the vote percentage of MNS and Sena and BJP. SS cant lose BJP else they will lose significance.

If BJP joins with NCP then its a Face palm moment. How come they join hands with corrupts like Pawar when they have all along maintained of them being against corruption. They would somehow do same mistakes that they did during 1999-2004 govt of there.

^ that. If BJP is doing politics, they are backing it with 122 VS seats. On the other hand SS is sulking with 63. In the end, after *****ty 15 years, Maha people still need to wait for rough 1-2 years to see if they can have a stable government. Too bad that no one cares for people. Obviously people want BJP but w/o majority that's not going to work out. I think more and more people need to come out and vote.

So with the results, it's clear that BJP did the right thing in not allying with SS. Now, they have won more seats(122) than what SS offered for BJP to contest(119). So, gain for BJP. Whereas SS would have surely won more seats with an alliance than the actual 63 seats it got without alliance. So, a big loss for SS. G_B_, you say it's important for BJP to be allies with SS. Amit Shah also do want that and evident show by being together in the BMC and center. But SS still seems adamant and have some unreasonable demands even after the verdict. BJP is offering on a 2:1 ratio on cabinet berths, but SS wants 1:1 including the key portfolios.

SS is stuck in 90s.They some how believe they are a bigger party than BJP.They need more slaps to wake up from the slumber.

As per Amit Shah, BJP had agreed to a 147-127-14 agreement during the sharing of seats. SS was adamant that they are not going to contest less than 151. Had they gone with that, both could have won around 100 seats each and had equal share in the government, and even a chance for their own CM. Good for BJP that they decided to contest alone. Contesting on 127 seats, would never have helped them grow in the state.

B0X1wm0CMAA3D9d.jpg:large I think W. Maha and Vidarabha, these 2 places, BJP fell below expectations. Surprising performance by NCP in W. Maha. Pawar's money power ?
That picture probably tells why opinions polls in MH were not right. MH can't be looked as one big state, but instead as 5-6 different regions. With each region having its own issues and different decision variables. And the results shows that it was more of a 2 way fight than 5-way. With BJP always one of the two players in each region, that shows the emergence of BJP. Even without a proper cadre base , yet BJP showed the largest MH scope.

Now that's completely unrealistic. Had BJP - SS contested together this time, BJP would have missed a glorious opportunity to expand as a party in MH. SS wanted to dominate and take allies for granted. Thankfully, BJP was brave enough to fight it. And one cannot also forget the bad blood created by SS during the campaign by making indecent attacks on BJP. That seems to be the BJP's reason for its reluctance to again ally with SS now.
