Volvo S60 just surprised me. It's better than both C class and 3 series. Be it the comfort while driving or the equipments' date=' Volvo just beats both. The only thing I don't like is the steering, I literally feel like driving a bus, the car doesn't turn easily. I almost bumped a bike guy during test drive.[/quote'] Yeah S60 is a great VFM. I even like the S80 though it's 10 years old.

Not maybe it's a big yes in India. Only the 4th gen rich and the politicians doens't care about spending since they never knew the value and go for the logo. The 1st and 2nd gen successful business men and the working class knew the value of money and every paisa is hard earned. Obviously they wanted a better value for money. You can't compare it with the much developed part of the world.
Exactly! People who want value for money should not be looking at luxury items. :cantstop:

@ Holysmoke Post # 58. or just like the Iphone and the LG G3 or Sony Z2. :giggle:
True. 1st rule of marketing - differentiation. The iphone has clearly differentiated itself from the specs race. People comparing the RAM in the 5S vs the G3 are wasting their time. :cantstop:

S60 and S80 are the only true muscle cars in India after the legendary Plymoth Barracuda (:hail:) and the grand old daddy of all dodge charger (:hail::hail::hail:)

My argument is the hatches like 1 series, A class , the compact sedans like B class, the crossovers like X1 and Q3 are supposedly luxurious but doens't justify the luxury car tag. :--D

Remember my eariler point? Just because they dont have oodles of space doesnt mean they are not luxury cars.

Of course I cant find in any hatch. But I guess Superb has Nappa leather seats :hmmm: My point is with these dumbed down versions of the lower end compacts and crossovers, the bmw, audi and merc might lose the trust among the buyers. It's like wearing a replica version of breitling or rolex or omega over an original gshock. I agree with that the average car buyer is immature, but it's just a matter of time the brand name of BMW or Audi will be spoiled.

Ok, Now you're talking of something completely different. I agree with you here. For example, Audi has come out with some new Q3 with fabric seats, no LED, no sunroof, etc etc. Most stupid thing they could have ever done. Completely eroding their brand. I mean, who buys an Audi without the signature headlamps?? That particular version, I donno if I would call it a luxury car. It's clearly built to match a price. But the Actual Q3 is a luxury car. So is the A class. Not driven the 1 series so I donno.

I am planning to buy the CLA Sedan and the GLA as well but my problem is that the 2 cars I have are in great condition. Plus the CLA in used is not available yet, I always buy cars which are at least 1 year old, this way I can get the top model at a reasonable price. I know these are not the top end Mercedes but I rather buy CLA than Accord etc

why not a ML AMG 63 instead of 2 cars? That's the best car I have driven so far.
