All above statements are pure imagination and not based on any facts. He is a decent wicketkeeper by any standards. Technically speaking keepers who dive more are less skilled ones coz that means most times they are not in position to take the ball. I too will be happy if we can find an indian wicketkeeper-batsman who can average 38+ in tests (dhonis current test average is 38.77).

Truth is Dhoni is good for spinners as a wk but he avoids keeping to genuine fast bowlers ----no keeper wants to keep against genuine Fast bowlers as the ball thuds into the wk gloves and minor mistake in grabbing can result into some damage to hands and fingers... problem is here wicket keeper is the Captain and hence the keeper prefers trundlers and Spinners ...Just Notice that Dhoni gets to never bring back the fast bolwers for moer than 4 to 5 overs...where as england asks broad to bowl 5 to 6 over Spells ..Dhoni prefers trundlers and Spinners and that every tom dick and harry in cricket knows that. why wud u prefer trundlers ahead of fast bowlers - bcos Keeper keeping the wickets is He himself..thats the problem.. i wud be fine if he plays saha as Wk and plays as a batsman..he may even bowl some times.

thats not true buddy. keeping to spinners is much more difficult than keeping to pacers. and keeping to swing bowling trundlers is more difficult than keeping to fast bowlers. this is coz with trundlers, ball always comes to keeper on second bounce which is very difficult for a keeper. also swinging ball is more difficult to collect than quicker balls. in short fast bowlers are the easiest of all for keepers. you can check this with any wicket keeper you know. i have also seen some others say dhoni is scared of keeping to fast bowlers. thats not true as well. if that was the case how would he come upto stumps for bowlers like mohit, bhuvi, pandey, ... who are bowling at 135 kph. thats the most dangerous thing a keeper can do. having said all this i too don't know why he picks ishant sharma over other quicker bowlers time and again :) i guess only he himself knows that.

Kris srikanth career avg is 29 he was made captain also, Chahuan is 31 and on bad two year stretch and after injury Sehwag can avg 30 then how is done and past due date. Sehwag earned the right to be given more chances as he is best opener since gavaskar. In 2010 he was best test player so two lean years which are not atrocious like dhoni's awful overseas record for whole career. Vijay his replacement has averaged 26.50 in last season but he is going to be the opening for India. if Sehwag is past due date then what would dhobi come under, he is the reason why batting line up is non existent after no 6. Dhobi played worse than a tailender both in SA and NZ the fact is if we had a competent keeper we would have won both tours. For dhobi this not an accident or decline this is what Dhobi is in overseas . If Sehwag is done then dhobi was done as keeper long long time back.

what am saying is his records and current form is not bad. then why everyone is calling to drop him? saha or any other domestic wicket keeper most probably won't give us a 38 average. why can't we expect him to improve his current test average of 38 (which is already good) and go into the mid 40's. if he can score at 54 in odis, there is no reason why he can't improve from 38 in tests.

Dhoni overseas record of 33 average is mainly built on knocks like 90 he had in SA after match was gone. For player of his experience can you show me one vital innings dhobi played overseas , other than 76 in england. You know the reason why he stinks because he has no clue how to play against new ball or swinging . Dhoni gets billing a some kind of super player but the reality is opposite. See you could have excused dhoni record if he was younger and new to team but after so many years with experience he has not become any better. So why stick with him knowing fully well he wont become better why not give someone a chance they cant be worse. Saha may not be answer but dhoni was never the answer. Once sehwag lost his appetite to score big runs and became hit and miss player he was shown the door rightly so , same should have happened with dhoni. This nonsense that there is no else is just ridiculous and on that reason alone to keep him in the team is more ridiculous.
