The southern cinema’s reigning beauty and Bollywood actress Shruti Hassan is in a romantic relationship with ace Indian cricketer Suresh Raina. Although the rumored lovebirds have not yet revealed their relationship status publicly, several reports are doing the rounds in entertainment circuit that the two are in a steady relationship. Last year, Shruti Hassan was frequently spotted at Raina’s matches, cheering for his team Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the IPL matches, as reported in a Mumbai Mirror report. This year, however, the starlet stayed away from the ongoing IPL season 7, and missed Raina’s terrific performance with the bat in the field due to her busy schedule. Citing a source close to the rumored couple, the Mirror report states: “Raina used to consider her his lucky mascot. This year, she has kept away from the cricket grounds. Yet Raina is playing extremely well.” “So the superstition has obviously ended. It is a mature relationship now and they are in love. But they are trying to keep it private and not speak about it in public." Shruti Hassan, who is the elder daughter of Tamil veteran actor Kamal Haasan, is currently having her hands full of shooting projects. Suresh Raina is also currently busy in IPL tournament. He has also been selected to lead the 15-member squad for a three-match ODI series against Bangladesh. The squad, which will have such cricket biggies as regular skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, will play three ODIs in Mirpur on June 15, 17 and 19. Despite their chock-a-block schedules, Shruti and Raina try their best to spend some quality time together, Mirror reports. The Mirror source says: “Shruti and Raina try to meet as much as their busy schedules allow them, and are very serious about each other.” Shruti and Raina were introduced to each other through a common friend at a party last year and since the duo has been in a steady relationship. Prior to the Indian batsman, Shruti had another man in her life. The gossip mongers say she had a love affair with actor Siddharth of ‘Rang De Basanti’ fame. But they broke off their one-and-half-year relationship in October 2011. Raina too was rumored to be dating former Union Minster Praful Patel’s daughter Poorna.
