Don't tell Hussey made debut for Australia at the age of 30 because he was the fittest Aussie player even at that age. Zol, Rahul, (yes) Jadhav, Jiwanjot, Samson. What exactly had Raina done last season to deserve a spot? This was the similar approach with Yuvraj, but he never came through as a Test player, Raina is no different. You really have to be kidding me talking about including Raina after all those atrocious innings he's played overseas.

Kohli is over rated and Raina deserves the spot. Lol He is better than over rated kohli and tailunt. Poor guy always comes down the order with few balls to face in loi, but still making very good impact in most of the matches I would any day play him even in tests over these guys.

If you think about it , Rahane should not have played beyond his first test based on what he made at his debut.

He made a century in Ranji semi finals and after that he hasn't done anything even at u 19 wc. Jiwanjot is no international material, sorry to put it bluntly, but he is no international material. He is a snail paced batsman who did nothing impressive in Australia . Samson is an exciting player. Even I want him in the team ,but in the future, not now. I would pick him after couple seasons in Domestic matches. Rahul is a quality player. But if I want him to make his debut, I would make sure he does it in Indian pitches, not in England where the youngster can easily lose confidence if he doesn't score runs. Jadhav , as I said, he is 30. Not a good age to be making debut for India if you are looking to build a team for future. If you want Ad- hoc basis replacements, it would end up like poor lad badrinath. Raina is always an exciting option. His critics always pointed out that he sucked against short pitch deliveries, but if he has shown improvement, I would definitely pick him ahead of Nohit Sharma at least.

Tailunt has 10 atrocious innings on trot Kohli has 12 atrocious innings on trot Can u explain how these innings no different with Raina's ? Can u explain on what logic these 2 need to be backed but not raina?

How many odi centuries should he make to consider him as a test player? he handled short pitch deliveries well in this odi I believe. The problem in Odi is you can't afford to waste deliveries. Hence, he will go for his shots and if he gets a top edge, everyone would start pointing at it and forget all the other pull and hook shots.
