He is one of our best players in those conditions. Our youngsters will learn a lot from him, how to cope with the fast swing bowlers.

This series by series approach should work, there's no one better than Dravid to guide our batsman on how to bat in English conditions.

Oh.. okay Well for someone like Dada/Dravid it'd be difficult to work with this bunch as they were team-mates not too long ago. Perhaps when Kohli takes over in a year RD can be the right man.
ThePhenomenal1 Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 dravid was excellent with his fast bowlers. better he be a mentor cause he can give the bowlers some tips on being aggressive. funny.. dravid was seen as the quiet one but has been aggressive in captaincy whereas dhoni has been defensive despite being an explosive batsman

He is not a coach. :poink: Mentor and Coach are two different things. Cant you read the title :poink: Oh! My bad! How would a padosi know that :giggle:, he has been hired as a batting consultant. Just to give advice on how to play there. Batting coach's role is a whole lot different.

Got his reward, this is how indian cricket works at the moment. Don't get me wrong. love dravid but we can all ses whats happening with regards to indian team and why we constantly lose

He timed his retirement well...acruelly he played some unbelievable iPl innings after retirement. He will surely do well as batting consultant. I loved rain a "s aggressive captaincy of keeping 3 slips and 2 gully in an odi against bangla...that kinda captaincy we need...where ever bangla batsman hit they found catchers. Dhoni keeps 2 deep slips ...He shud push the slips deeper and save runs... As a crick captain one either keeps catching positions or right on ropes...even his catching position s r defensive...
