adi B Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 The Budget has given Rs 100 crore for the Lucknow metro - ismey toh 0.5 km ka track bhi nahi ban payega (it cost around Rs. 210 crore for each KM of the Delhi metro). yup cost of a station to station line is about 1000 crores
kubrickian Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 What a colossal waste is the 60,000 Crores of money to be spent for the proposed bullet train ? Is this government completely out of its mind ? If people want to travel faster, why can't they catch a flight ? Instead use this money to build better railway stations, better coaches, better services etc because rail journey at present in India is a major pain in the *****. How can you waste money like this when passengers are not even getting basic services ? Absolutely pathetic.

urbestfriend Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 I agree... Dunno whats this fascination with Bullet Trains? Is it really required? Bullet train had to be announced, after-all bullet train is one of the Namo's election promises!
diga Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 In a way, the budget has addressed the needs of BJP's core constituency - "the middle class..." lesser taxes / increased tax benefit for housing loans/cheaper electronics... only if Modi does something to bring down the interest rates & EMIs But not much reforms except the FDI in defence & insurance raised to 49%... For those following stocks, L&T should do well
diga Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 BTW, are the tax implications for the salaried class applicable from April itself ?
JaiRamesh2 Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Hmm Reliance's chemical and petroleum division will certainly benefit with cuts in import duty on several imported petrochemicals inputs.
