"He had only one major back injury in the past but otherwise he hasn't had any serious injury. This is a different nature of injury, a strain caused by the pace at which he bowls. Umesh was consistently over 140....Maintained pace even at death Surprisingly ishant has clocked over 140 atleast 5 times

Sri Lanka n coach must be saying.. Lanka n pacers are 135 k n indian 142k that's the big difference. Akshar looks much better than jade ja. R we going to see akshar ahead of jaddu and ashwin.

Is there are method to Umesh's madness. He is pretty well represented length and line wise, probably searching for swing. Ish has a lot more control at-least line wise for almost the same pace probably because he is only looking to hit not swing.

No. He is bowling quicker because his action is much better than what it was previously. Did you missed the lord test where he bowled total 47 overs. http://www.espncricinfo.com/england-v-india-2014/engine/current/match/667713.html His average pace was 84.2 mph in second innings. The interesting is part is when he decided to bowl those barrage of bouncers, he was already bowling his 42nd over of the match! and his 17th of the second innings. so after bowling so much overs he could still able to produce some deliveries, as pacy as this-

Infact his last spell where he got flurry of wickets was his quickest of the match, remember he was bowling non-stop bouncers in that spell with an old ball which require enormous effort. so it just about his rhythm. If he is in rhythm he can bowl 140+ deliveries with ease. It is such a shame he took so much of time to regain his old action and rhythm back. *Another Instance Just to show you how pacy can Ishant be if he is in rhythm- nNbks-qOn-w P_HG6PBt9ic so his pace in today's match shouldn't be a surprise.

Also Ishant wrist position and angle is much straighter, which is what of ish of 2008 -09 use to do.

Wonderful bowing by Umesh in the first over. Moved the ball both ways. Good bounce. Good control. The last ball bounced from length , was an off cutter and OUT.
