tyagi is actually more capable than coetzee. if he was in SA, he would have debuted before gerold

Tyagi needs to bowl more to get in rythem and develop some muscle memory

All of them must be seen as potential bowlers for India in years to come,can't bank all our hopes on one bowler

Flat or not,his problem is too much width/wide deliveries to batsmen to free their arms

hard bounce, green mambas, and raging turners. our batters need to be exposed to diff conditions, and we need to allow diff bowlers to emerge through the system. someone like prithvi "feckless" shaw should be averaging 32-33 in FC, not around 50.

Angle make a difference.Look at wood ,his angle kills him on such wickets, even Atkinson bowled better here at a lesser pace due to wkt to wkt approach.On a quicker bouncier pitch wood would be better.

Bhai not anymore, he is running fast and bowling at a pretty high pace. Today was bowling 139-147k on domestic speedguns, was reasonably accurate except of few balls..and was moving balls to both edges at high pace...mixing it with batsman hurting bouncers.

 

Naga batters were stepping down the track to hit Bhuvaneshwar, against Tyagi they were on backfoot as he was fast and aggressive.

 

Even Umran bowled very fast today, except Jaiswal...he was troubling everyone with his rapid pace. Unfortunately speedguns were not there but he was for sure 145+

Yes that is based on UPt20 exploits

I have not seen him here,could have got clear idea

Even in UPt20 he looked quite quick,deliveries in line of the stumps were beating batsmen for pace

Yes,his line is a major issue..

I remember in one thread it was discussed..you take Tyagi’s length and add Umran’s line and make a fantastic bowler haha..

though I believe..with hard work,focus and self belief..Tyagi can definitely fix his line issues..

He needs to practice a lot..with lot of determination..lets say for few months..he can definiteky be a great bowler as he has everything else going for him.

His run-up is a problem, he runs slant instead of straight and while delivering the ball he is at the edge of the pitch. One way it's good that he doesn't go anywhere near the "danger area"....but that leaves a lot of room for his wrist to "go wrong" at the time of release.

 

If he can run slightly closer to stumps, his deliveries will often land nearer and not allow the width. 

One good thing I saw yesterday, that he was bowling round the wicket to left handers, I've never seen him do that earlier, which used to result in lot of wides & pad line deliveries for the lefties. So, I take it as positive that he is trying to emulate what Ishant & Shami does.
