His last domestic match was ipl match vs MI on March 27, 2024. Was dropped after wi tour in 2023 August September as he didn't perform well. Then played domestic, later got injured. He bats at 8 ... which is the slot for a specialist bowler who can bat a bit. Nitish is not even a good backup bowler, let alone a specialist bowler. And he is not a specialist batsman yet. At 8, we need someone like Harshit or any other proper pacer with some batting ability. Or an Axar or Harsh Dubey if we are looking for a spinner. There is a better player who Ind could have tied to develop over nkr. ramakrishna gosh he has decent height, bowls at lively pace. Is a capable batter for #7/8/9 position Edited November 22, 2025 by tapandrun express bowling 1

Another left armer would be an overkill and would be underutilized. Since the TM are wanting a backup pacer, it is better to go for a Harshit type specialist pacer with some batting ability. And he bowled like what 2 overs in those T20s (iirc)? Edited November 22, 2025 by MK55

I'm talking about the most possible scenario, they won't play Harshit at 8,who can bat They could have tried someone like Rinku ,who is now a batting AR Edited November 22, 2025 by Suhaan express bowling 1

MK55 Posted November 23, 2025 Posted November 23, 2025 (edited) This attack is such a downgrade in these conditions. In 2016 we had Umesh Shami bowling 145k in important spells with reverse swing. Even Ishant had been an enforcer after 2016 and bowling quick. The fact of the matter is that these clowns can’t play spin and lately they definitely also don’t have the bowling line up to consistently outperform / dismiss teams below par on good batting tracks. It’s time to calibrate the expectations. The talent is lacking - whichever way u put it. Edited November 23, 2025 by MK55 tapandrun and Mosher 2

Pace bowling is at all time low Sides likeus who have no rich history of fast bowling, depended on easy contests like WI,ZIM,SL(post Murli,Vaas) to test our young pacers Now with stupid WTC ,we end up grinding same set of first choice bowlers,in someway that helped those bowlers to get used to international games Umesh was playing since 2011,Ishant since 2007 but they all turn it around with a leader like Arun Sooner or later we have to test Gurnoor,Simar,Apple Tom maybe they aren't earth shattering but they will surely benefit from getting games ,need some genius like Bharat Arun to transform our pace attack or build a world class pace attack once again We had a tremendous pace attack then, the team did well due to it Edited November 23, 2025 by Suhaan Mosher and express bowling 2
