Anything shorter, the batsmen can just leave the ball because of the swing or ball will bounce high to miss the stumps. Have to be on the stumps and around the off stump otherwise it will be too wide for the batsmen to play. Most important thing is to make the batsmen play The more you make them play, the better chance of picking wickets even if you go for a few runs. The more they leave, the easier it will get later and batsmen will score runs easily. ball has barely swung.
