Sachin=GOD Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 Why not? In his current form' date=' Gambhir is not reliable opening for us.[/quote'] When was the last time Gambhir batted at no 6? IMO if we have to have GAmbhir then he should open. Otherwise go with Dhawan-Vijay.
express bowling Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 If the pitch is fast .... I am tempted to bring in Pankaj and Aaron in place of Binny and Shami.
vvvslaxman Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 Binny out , Pankaj or Aaron or Ashwin in. as 5th bowler.
King Tendulkar Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 2 changes. This proved we don't need 5 bowlers(binny did not bowl basically) and runs on board win it for us. Rohit in for Binny, strengthens the batting. Ashwin in for jadeja. Real tough on Sir as sparkling runs but we need best spin bowler and he is not delivering with the ball
wanted_desi Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 Shami doesn't seem like 100% Aaron for Shami Ashwin for Binny
coffee_rules Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 Binny is definitely out..Dhoni had more faith in Dhawan bowling than a part-timer like Binny. It is sorry to see a player not contributing anything towards a win, esp due to the captain. He is better off carrying drinks.

zep1706 Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 Rose bowl would definitely offer some amount of spin. Besides Binny was not doing anything. So he has to sit out. I would play Ashwin because of his batting skills. We are already a batsman short and with Dhoni and unreliable Jadeja we need a batsman who has the technique. So Ashwin must play. 1. Vijay 2. Dhawan 3. Pujara 4. Kohli 5. Rahane 6. Ashwin 7. Dhoni 8. Jadeja 9. Bhuvi 10. Shami 11. Ishant.
Sachin=GOD Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 How exactly does this 'strengthen' our batting? You people have been abusing him the same way as Ishant. If he gets a chance I am quite sure he will prove everyone wrong.
vvvslaxman Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 How exactly does this 'strengthen' our batting? :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: Literally ROFLed
zep1706 Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 We must play 5 bowlers overseas. i have been saying that for 2 years now and finally they have shown the courage to do that. You can't win test cricket by playing defensive. The main aim has to be to take 20 wickets. It is very important to keep the seamers fresh. Luckily for India, England haven't batted long yet, so the fifth bowler's role has not been so important.

Real tough on Sir as sparkling runs but we need best spin bowler and he is not delivering with the ball lmfao jadeja is not leaving and you know it. he might be banned for the next test but no way in hell will he be dropped jadeja needs to be in the team just to piss england off.
vvvslaxman Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 You people have been abusing him the same way as Ishant. If he gets a chance I am quite sure he will prove everyone wrong. Why not Ashwin. What is wrong with our batting now. Kohli one of the best abtsman in the world is yet to show up. Even without his contribution India did not struggle in the batting department even on green pitch. We need some support for our tiring bowlers.

Who wouldn't have a go at a guy with an avg. of nearly 40 after playing over 50 Tests? Ashwin is a far better batsman than Rohit in these condition. His inclusions will be more ideal.

I am not saying what will happen. Just saying what I would do Love jadeja. Honestly do . Cult figure. But not delivering with ball. Ashwin needs a go.

I'm not saying that we necessarily have to bring in Rohit. I already said in an earlier post that we have to drop Binny and bring in either of Rohit or Ashwin. I was just replying to Slickr's post where he (and many others before him in various threads) have said things like "bringing Rohit for Binny would not strengthen Indian batting" or "better to go with 10 men than have Rohit" etc....
Gunner Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 You people have been abusing him the same way as Ishant. If he gets a chance I am quite sure he will prove everyone wrong. exactly
R.D forever Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 Ashwin In for binny. Give Dhawan and shami one more test and bring gambir and aaron in the 4th test if they fail. Bring in Rohit for kohli in the 5th test if he continues to fail. (Unlikely.Kohli is too good. He will strike gold very soon :yay:) But the stubborn captain cool will surely go with an unchanged team on sunday :giggle::haha:
