vvvslaxman Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 Lords was not even a bouncy pitch lol. Even on this pitch they got bounced out by Ishant sharma.. They are mentally fragile rightnow. So even slight help on the surface will put more doubts. But at the same time they were fined 16000 $ for Trent Bridge pitch. So nice conundrum for England from indian perspective. Can't prepare turners as India has better spinners. They don't have Swann. Can't prepare bouncy wicket.. as they got owned by bouncer. Can't prepare swing and seam Bhuvan will be in business.

I'll go for Ashwin for Binny & Pankaj for Shami.

First day and half for the seam bowlers, then it flattens out and it helps the spinners on day 4 and 5. I think they might keep a bit of grass again, so it could be similar to Lord's.

That is how the pitch was last year...I'm hoping it is like that...I am betting it is as flat as a pancake though!:((

But after the kind of criticism that Trent Bridge received, no pitch will be absolute roads, unless England win the next two tests and want a draw in the final one. So they will definitely keep some grass ans moisture on it.
