For so many years when many posters were repeatedly targeting one player (Goddy) and calling him selfish etc etc etc, you didn't seem to notice. Not that its happening to M$D you are outraged. Hypocrisy, eh? Oh sure!!! M$D fans are cool - thats why they've been asking for threads to be closed where someone criticizes M$D or calls him names - even as they themselves did the same about Goddy will a few months back.

I'm Dhoni's biggest critic but let's be fair: In WCT20 2007 win- he batted well in group game against Pak (if we lost we would have exited the first round), he batted well against South Africa in super stage helping us qualify for the semis, and in semis he did a nice cameo helping us into the final. His captaincy was also excellent in that tournament (which sound really weird given how ordinary he is these days) In Wc2011- just the fact that he scored a near century in the final and took us home- irrespective of whether Gauti had done the harder work and that there was loads of dew blunting the spinners- just for the pressure situation and value to his team you have to say he was a deserved trophy winner Also has played and captained well in home test series- so I wouldn't take that away from him either But overseas test victories/draws- free loader to the max

Ok as far as T20 2007 goes, he wasn't that bad in terms of contributing.I will admit that as I said,I am open to listening and changing my views. the factors that mislead me - Dhoni is obviously such a poor T20 player as we all know .Also the fact that most other Indian players in that tournament had a Stand out moment like Yuvraj,Pathan,Sree,R.P,Sir Jogi,Uthappa,Gambhir,Rohit Sharma that Dhoni's contributions got lost somewhere in the shuffle. But the fact Dhoni is this match winning finisher beast in LOI's ,so my expectations were kind of sky high.....Also coming lower down the order he has a S/R less than Gambhir who has a reputation of being a grafter. So Apologies he wasn't a freeloader there,Did something useful but then again not irreplacable.

Check CB Series and SA 2010 batting averages/runs too. The term "freeloader" means someone who does NOTHING.

Did nothing in the 2007 T20 WC....Lol even the likes of Uthappa and Sir Jogi won games in that tournament.

WI 2011,S.A tied series in 2010-2011 etc etc did nothing absolutely nothing

he was one of the best batsman in first test and was one of the biggest reason team had belief that we can score here as we fought back even in first test

CB series 2008 again did nothing.

actually he did lot more than even tendulkar through out the series world cup he makes up n final but in champions trophy he did not even get chance to bat through out the tournament..you cannot blame him for that

The Guy has captained India in 5 T20 WC's....While on paper he looks like he has a decent T20 average of 32.00......His S/R is 115.00 which is pathetic for a lower order player in the format. Has 19 Notouts,822 runs out of 49 games.Runs per match are less than 17 but a misleading bloated average. I repeat he has captained us in not 1,2 5T20 Wc's.....If that isn't freeloading what is? WIll get into other formats soon

i thought topic was he has freeloaded in t20 in past about current form we can discuss somewhere else even my major problem currently with him as player is poor keeping,poor batting is understandable but not going for chance of ballance and him scoring 100 did hurt us
