Should depend on the pitch again If flat bring Ashwin for Rohit and if Green replace jadeja with Ashwin And replace Dhawan with Gambhir unless he scores at least a decent half century

What's the point of five bowlers if we get bundled out for 100? On a green wkt 4 bowlers is enough and every overseas test in the last 2 decades we won with 3 seamers only. Well since there is no there spare bat in the squad just put the belief in Rohit to come good .Or maybe we could play Gambhir at 6. But 4 seamers and Ashwin and Dhoni on a green wkt will not be good enough to a test match particularly when 3 of our top 5 are struggling for form

If you were talking about including a reliable batsman I'd have agreed.But both Rohit and GG are not that.Both don't inspire any confidence that they can bat on a greentop.So adding extra batsman for sake of it is wrong imo. We won some games in the past with 3 seamers but we've lost or missed out on a winning opportunity more due to one less seamer imo. Ashwin won't do anything with the ball on a greentop except bowling lots of overs and keeping pacers fresh.But he can contribute just about similar in batting as current GG or Nohit. With extra pacer our bowlers wont get tired and we wont allow partnership to build which has been our problem

Even if you play ashwin and jadeja + 3 seamers, thats better than what we have now. Rohit provides NOTHING. Dhawan needs to go and Gambhir in to strengthen batting with vijay. dhoni at 7, ashwin at 6. In fact id drop jadeja purely because he is bits and pieces. has been carted around. His one off knocks wont help us in the long run. ashwin needs a go and with ashwin + 4 seamers you can get 20 wickets on tracks like these

Someone will have to make way for Ishant. Shikhar is averaging below 20 and hence out of form. I think those two changes are very likely.

Why do you think that is Ashwin's idea. By the look of it Dhoni does these things. He was quick to take credit for his "bouncer strategy". Don't hope too much of GG.. He's a POKEMON giant.. Dhavan has to be persisted with... Else get Nohit to open and play Ashwin in place of Dhavan... Dhobi has to come out of this bits and pieces player mentality...

I can understand blaming someone when they are not performing, but how idiotic is to blame someone when he is taking most wickets in the team? It is about asking to bowl negative line. Dhoni is perfectly capable of doing that. Yes he sure experimented. But it is a learning process. You don't extrapolate those performances and use it for the rest of his career. If we use that yardstick Ishant sharma should have been dropped ages ago. He sucked even in helpful condtions in 2011.
