GautiMaan Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 One of the allrounders could change, though. In an interesting twist, India gave Stuart Binny a long hit at the start of the training session, alongside R Ashwin, which could mean a swap with Ravindra Jadeja, but the session was not as organised as India's earlier ones. Binny for Jadeja might just be an option India want to keep open. Jadeja and the opening slot are two big concerns for India. Even though Jadeja played a big part in India's win at Lord's, his batting is low percentage, and his bowling mostly one-dimensional. He was not present for the slip-catching practice at the end of the session. Only M Vijay and Ajinkya Rahane took catches there. India's fans will hope that just two slips is not a sign of things to come. Curious will the lucky charm be back?Dont think he will do any worse than sir.
Midfielder Posted August 13, 2014 Author Posted August 13, 2014 No we dont Take Anderson out and there bowlers are not better. India has the better batting line up but Kohli and Pujara need to be out. Two middle order batsman not contributing and being persisted with is a disaster. With right combination this is a winnable game. England is not 10 ft tall.
King Tendulkar Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 IF we stop sucking!! But that's how Ishant stayed in team for so many years!!
Yoda-esque Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Take Anderson out and there bowlers are not better. India has the better batting line up but Kohli and Pujara need to be out. Two middle order batsman not contributing and being persisted with is a disaster. With right combination this is a winnable game. England is not 10 ft tall. They have better discipline ,control and pace than Indian bowlers. And no, Cook is a better batsman than either of our openers even when he is out of form. Ballance and Bell are far better than Kohli and Pujara. So they are a superior side in all the three departments as can be evinced by them winning every session since the Lord's test. The Lord's test was an aberration ,nothing more.
StriKe Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Chetan Narula @chetannarula · 32m MS Dhoni in PC, when asked if India will continue with five bowlers: "Yes". #EngvsInd Just in from team management: Ishant Sharma is fit for selection tomorrow. Pankaj Singh to miss out then I guess. #EngvsInd Dhoni in PC on off-day: It was personal. Felt like taking an off-day so took it. Had enough team-building before so doesnt affect. #EngvsInd Dhoni in PC on Pujara opening: Extra batsman (Rohit) hasnt played many matches in series. So cant put him in pressure in imp match #EngvsInd Thankfully Pujara wont be opening tomorrow then. Unless ofcourse Dhoni has a change of heart (read: loses it) overnight. #EngvsInd Asked Dhoni in PC if result has become more important than process in this match. Replied: No, process is still more important. #EngvsInd Dhoni in PC answering my process-result question: Thinking about result will put more pressure ahead of imp match, hence. #EngvsInd
avicric Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Wtf is this process?tha dhoni tells us all the time.

sensible-indian Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 right Sharma will be playing :yay: I guess both spinners will play, though hoping Yadav or even Pandey comes in How can Yadav come in when he is not even in the squad?
Lord Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 How can Yadav come in when he is not even in the squad? ODI pacers were supposed to be in before 5th Test as backup for all the injuries :hmmm:
FreakazoiD Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 ODI pacers were supposed to be in before 5th Test as backup for all the injuries :hmmm: Unfortunately mixing up ODI and Test teams is not part of Dhoni's "process"
sensible-indian Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 ODI pacers were supposed to be in before 5th Test as backup for all the injuries :hmmm: Haha....even if he is there, he ain't playing.
