Because Dhoni is Srini's man through and too. Plus is the captain of his club team. Obviously he wants him to get the highest visibility as soon as possible. Not to mention at a CSK level, he can make him do unwanted things too :giggle:

But it is in Srini's interests to have a performing Dhoni as India's captain. A failing Dhoni is definitely not in Srini's interests. Dhoni is a shrewd character. He can forge a partnership with the next Dhoni. He can make Ashwin the captain of India. Ashwin also plays for Chennai Super Kings. He can make Ashwin captain of CSK also. I am not sure that persisting with a failing Dhoni helps Srini in any way at all.

Considering the coach in this partnership has no say and no power. In this case the skipper makes all the calls and is all powerful, yet the smoke screen goes up and fletcher gets blamed. Meanwhile dhoni continues and the money making continues. All hail csk!

Firstly, let's not bring CSK into this discussion. However, i do agree the results of the process are below average. I also agree that Duncan has very less say in Indian cricket team. However, if he is not liking the authority given to him then why is he hung on with this job for so long? He should have resigned if he does not likes this job for whatever reason. He cannot have it both ways. Dhoni needs to be sacked as a captain as well. Captain and coach are accountable given such a long run.

Ofcourse, its sub-par performance... but we played majority of those games against Eng/Aus/SA who are better test sides than us

Not that much better Plus in SA and NZ did not win even one odi match. Which has gone under radar!
