He had put on weight after marriage and consequently failed a fitness test at the NCA just before the team for England was selected. The selectors did not want to risk him in a high profile test series, and instead chose to send him on the India A tour to regain fitness. Let's hope he is back to full fitness as we will need him in Australia.

Unlike in Pakistan you do not get to decide your own retirement and comeback after every 2 weeks He was not selected for tests and sent on a tour where he did well and might make comeback soon

I have seen many of these statements work in reverse. I agree... If Dhobi comes to know about what he said (maybe already knows), he'll do his best to prevent Yadav any easy opportunities... Yadav might play one match maximum in this rain curtailed series...
