Popularity awards anything can happen but purely for the way he revitalized aus cricket but also took down eng single handedly and brought test cricket into sharper focus - Johnson.

Go check ICC facebook page, all the comments are full of neatrals supporting Mathews. 97% of all comments are pro-Mathews. So Angelo coming in to collect the award is just a formality. :hatsoff:

Looking at that list how did Bhuvy make it? We have Johnson averaging 15, Steyn averaging 22 and Matthews with a batting avg of 90+ Or is peoples choice not based on stats alone? cuz then Bhuvy's stats are pretty ordinary.
