Kalia_Test Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 peeps u sure u are happy with this verdict? :cantstop: Honestly, the only good things in the verdict are :- 1 - Honorable Supreme Court clearly mentioning that BCCI might be a private organization but it discharges public function and hence cannot hide in its own private laws. This is really a landmark statement. I think the court also mentioned Bharat Ratna,Padma awards are awarded to players so it is not a private thing. IMO, this opens up BCCI and its workings and some clever lawyer filing a PIL using this judgement can get the workings of BCCI under RTI 2 - Court ordering review of functioning of BCCI or something like that. Srini and the angle is secondary. I also think CSK and RR teams should not be touched. They can be sold to a different owner in a transparent manner. As a Hyderabadi, I felt very angry when IPL decided to re-auction Deccan Chargers and opened up other cities too ( for no fault of huge Hyderabadi fans ). They should have just invited bids for the Hyderabad team. Luckily, the new bidders were also interested in Hyderabad ( compared to Ahmedabad and other cities ). However, with the current situation, I won't be surprised if Rajasthan will not get a team and it will go to some Gujarat city. Chennai might be a little safe but Sun Group already has SRH but we never know if some big bidder comes for some other city.

Mama easily can get rid of his "commercial considerations" and get on with the elections if he wanted. Meiyappan and Kundra rightly nailed.
