He has a few people on the board that don't support him in the team let alone as captain, it is just that unless they feel Burns is ready NOW Watson will be picked. Buckleys chance of being skipper. Haddin will captain if fit. Smith the vice captain. If Haddin is out, expect Smith to get the job, with Cameron White playing and basically being the 'captain' without the 'c' next to his name.

Rated as the best 'captain' in Australia, an is coming off two fantastic Shield seasons. Plus has had a good start to the Shield this year and in teh Metrador Cup too. He isn't as far away as you think.

Useless when he has to use his brain, which unfortunately for him test cricket requires.

Us still losing the series would make even worse I suppose

I actually thought White wasn't ready. Only in the last 3 season he has been ready.

Plus the bloke still has serious issues in regards to spinners. Doolan has had no runs in the Shield, would need a score, and it isn't as if he hasn't had chances. The reality is our long term number 3 is only 17 years old, who is making his Shield debut next match (Jake Doran).

Most of them will play a test in Aus for first time. We might see a repeat of 1999.
