Austin 3:!6 Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 Woolloongabba has one of the fastest tracks in Australia along with Perth where India will play their first test starting 4th Dec. India played 5 times in this venue and lost 4 off them. We drew last time we played there in 2003 thanks to a fantastic century by Ganguly. Australia is unbeaten in this ground for last 26 years :nervous: Can Virat Kohli's men create history this time around? :giggle: If this has to be achieved what shall be our strategy and what can possibly be our playing XI?

I am a bit worried about Mooli vijay has be played any competitive cricket? Playing Vijay Hazare trophy without much success. Poor decision by BCCI to play the 1st test in Gabba. Playing in that type of ground at the very beginning of a long tour can be very demoralizing. It gonna get easier in Adelaide though.

We will create history since our test captain for 1st test is Kohli not Dhoni :yay:
Forever Indian Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 I think it was a fair few years before we won at Lords as well. What really matters is how the team is going to keep the intensity up for the 20 days. We seem to be starting well on all tours but lose it after that mainly because our slip fielders and batsmen are not able to keep their intensity and concentration levels high for the full period of time.

They played at Gabba and Hobart. First Aussie summer test is always played at Gabba. Its their prerogative.

Shivaji bhonsle Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Kohli said he will play all pace attack. I somehow feel like virat and Ravi both think alike and agree about the fast bowling options and Dhoni does whatever he wants and doesn't give much importance to Ravi.
