Actually nothing else. The city can bore you to the death and the hygiene is unbelievably atrocious. And that is for someone coming from Mumbai. Its an open public toilet for men. You could just take it.

Yeah you will, but you can manage in english. I guess you want to buy a house in saravanampatti :giggle: The apartments are very costly there, I donno why ppl buy apartments with so much money. If you go 4 kms away you might find individal houses for 30l to 50l.

IT sector presence is very minimal , like pune i guess .. ask deto for the latest price one of the BJP dominated areas in TN :giggle:

Not ur hair waves kind of wind, but break the car door kind of wind. Last september, my friend's car door just broke and flown away for half a km, as he kept it open for a minute. Hyundai elentra.

In coimbatore, the demand for apartments are very high due to the immigrant people working here and most prefer flats for facilities and amenities. The individual houses have less demand hence the low cost. Land value >>>> flat value.

Windy weather is pleasant mostly though(when they arent break the car door kind of winds :cantstop:) In Delhi June July August months are specially bad (hot n humid) n then 1 month of peak winter from arnd dec-20.

Will add to Pros and cons later too...this is just beginning. Pros. 1. Food - you get best biryani in India, mughlai cuisines, Bagaare baigan, haleem, double ka meetha,etc. You will also get Idly,Dosa, Utappa, Upma, Pesarattu and any South dish. 2. No issues on language. Hindi, Urdu, Telugu, English...everyone knows bit of everything :two_thumbs_up: and I know many Delhiites who have permanently shifted to Hyderabd just for this reason 3. Infra - You will have traffic problems but it is way better than many other Indian cities. 4. Airport - Best in India. I don't say it. All reports say it. Cons. 1. Weather - You will get roasted from April to June. 45 degrees + in the rocky Deccan plateau. No humidity. Non-hyderabadis will roast ( Hyderabadis are used to it). Trust me. Given a choice I will go to Bangalore for these months. 2. Prospect of communal riots - Hyd does not have much history of this but it is surely an issue as 40% Hyderabadis are muslims ( they live in ghettos in old city but still ). 3. Maoists - This is an issue more after bifurcation as now the Maoists have a base in Telangana with lesser area and more concentration. This is a very very big issue for Hyderabad. 4. Unplanned development - Unlike some cities ( With constraints like Mumbai, Bangalore,etc), Hyderabad can develop in all sides BUT political interests are dictating the development ( like ignoring Nagarjuna Sagar highway road just because TDP has lands there). This is not good at all. Equitable development is key.

Equitable development is key. cool, when my father retires, I am thinking of having a base in hyd (a 2bhk/3bhk) to live 3-4 months a year in hyd in Hitech city/kondapur/Gachibowli area. I specially like the weather July August is awesome when Delhi is bad. People are nice too. Apartments are affordable n good construction, value for money. About delhi - Happening Vibrant diverse city, all(transport, hospital , schools, movies, shopping etc) facilities near to whereever you live, well maintained parks, broad roads, metro train, food. cons- pollution. 4-5 months of bad weather and pollution makes it worse.
