The attitude was great all day and if not for those wickets falling and that Rahane dismissal, I think we were going great guns. WE BACKED OURSELVES TO CHASE DOWN 360 ODD ON LAST DAY TRACK. I think it was a difficult test for the new and young Indian team.. They'll fine tune... They'll give a great fight in this series as long as the captain/leader continues to show the fighting spirit, leads from the front, doesn't plays politics on & off field and doesn't makes team defensive...

India has been losing left an right abroad. We are yet to identify a nucleus for the future. If they are serious about that they must get rid of IPL sloggers and bring in mentally stronger batsmen with better technique.. They have to identify the nucleus. So far Viay, Pujara, Kohli, Rahane form the nucleus. I am still not sold on Dhawan. Rohit firm No. Raina as well. If they keep including IPL, ODI specialists in tests we will keep struggling. YOu need 6 solid batsmen with mental strength and technique. Even though we keep getting 4 test series 5 test series, results are almost Bangladeshque thanks to lack of identifying long term prospect. We keep going back to sloggers.

That's the bowlers doing their job. You didnt bowl Aus out once in this test. Good chase but without a lost day to rain (partially made up) - Aus could have extended their lead further and have had more overs to roll India. :two_thumbs_up:

If you look at 2nd innings scorecard as many as 9 players did not show up.

RAHANE + DHAWAN UNLUCKY. Pujara - Was playing good and didn't really play a bad shot. He just nicked it. He will surely work on that aspect as he is very strong against spinners. Vijay - Flimsy play when he got on 99. He got NERVOUS there and that is why he got out. Otherwise he was playing the same delivery to Nathan Lyon really well all through out. Still played a class knock. Kohli - Class until that shot. Rohit - Bat pad - He played it like a tailender. If Shami or Ishant would get out like that, it is acceptable but Rohit needs to tigthen is defensive game or just play his shots. Saha - Tried to be a hero. Should have just rotated strikes. For me only Rohit didn't show up and Saha played a nasty shot. These two are the one who should be given proper class by Shastri and Duncan.

I don't disagree with that. and let me add to that, if Warner could have scored a little faster yesterday when he slowed down around his century, you could have had 400 and might have bowled India some overs even last night to and perhaps gotten a wicket. It's about being in the moment and realizing. India got lucky that Clarke declared for them and gave them a chance. Aus got lucky that Indian didn't finish it off. Clarke never thought India will win. He only though that Aus will win or it will be a Draw. In the end Gamble for Clarke paid off. It will pay most of the time since it's last day and not many chase over 250, but he will think twice again in future when he is playing against INdia or South Africa as both sides are capable of chasing.

Credit to India, they didn't fold weakly like they did against England. I think every Aussie watching was nervous and very worried during the Kohli/Vijay partnership. Good attitude from India, maybe Kohli needs to stay as captain.
