Here is how i seriously classify Indian cricket greats Post 80'S Tier 1 Sachin,Sunny,Kapil Tier 1.5 Kumble,Dravid Tier 2 Laxman,Sehwag,Ganguly,Harbhajan Tier 3 Zaheer,Srinath,Vengasrkar,Azharuddin(if Matchfixing is not accounted for),Vishwanath Tier 3.5 Yuvraj,Dhoni Tier 4 Sir Aggy,Gambhir,Ravi Shastri,K.Srikkanth etc.

Bhajji has a test hattrick against one of the greatest teams of all time,400+ test wickets-India's 2nd best statistically,259 ODI wickets-again one of india's leading wickettakers in that format. won games for India overseas(something Dhoni can only do in his dreams) Yes he had a bad patch towards the end but then again who doesn't? Accomplished lot more than Dhoni as a player

Bhajji accomplished more as a player than MS Dhoni? A captain who won 2 WC's and 1 Champions Trophy? A batsman who is hailed as one of the greatest in ODI's? A batsman who has 3rd best avg in ODI's ever? Bhajji accomplished more than Yuvraj Singh? A player who won WC man of the tournament? Don't tell this to anyone outside ICF in real life. People will either laugh at you or will think you are insane. Here is how I rate the players: Grade 1 - Sachin, Gavaskar, Dravid* Grade 1.5 - Kohli*, Dhoni, Kapil, Ganguly, Kumble Grade 2 - Sehwag, Yuvi, Srinath, Azhar Grade 2.5 - Zaheer, Bhajji, Rohit Sharma* *Dravid/Kohli - They will swap places at the end of Kohli's career if he keeps on performing like he is doing in ODI's. *Rohit Sharma - Though rubbish, his dual double centuries can't be ignored. Please note, I have not included Vengsarkar and other oldies whom I have not seen play.

Bhajji can come one level down to Tier 3, and MSD can go one higher to Tier 3. Both HS and MSD tier-3

Me too. Infact I have put test cricket as a preference over LOI's because I myself believe test is the real deal. If we judge by using all formats equally, only SRT will be in Grade 1. Both Dravid and Gavaskar are mediocre ODI players. Gavaskar was literally poor.

I wasn't off topic actually. We are talking about Dhoni a cricketer and Test Cricket does count in cricket as of now. As I have agreed many times earlier, Dhoni in an ATG ODI cricketer of India, may be in top 5 of all time for India. But very average test cricketer and a poor captain. Overall an average cricketer who managed to stay captain with lot of machinations. In total he has harmed Indian cricket more than what he has given to it.

Yuvi will swap all his ODI stats with may be the exception of Man of the tournament in WC to have Bhajji's test stats. and of course now Bhajji has had more than a decent ODI career as well. Overall there is not even a debate who is better.

Off topic - Just imagine SRT's achievements. We can use any logic, any format etc. his record is such that by default he is in Grade 1
