sachin34357 Posted December 26, 2014 Posted December 26, 2014 Senior BJP leader LK Advani has hailed Aamir Khan-starrer "PK" as a "wonderful and courageous film". A movie buff, Mr Advani recently watched the Rajkumar Hirani directorial. He took a liking to the film and feels that a majority of people should watch it. "Hearty greetings to Rajkumar Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra for a wonderful and courageous film that they have produced" Mr Advani said in a statement. "We are fortunate to have been born in a vast and variegated country like India. This however casts on all patriots a duty to ensure that nothing weakens the unity of the country -- neither caste nor community nor language nor region, and certainly not religion," he added. Featuring Aamir as an alien, the film takes a hard hitting swipe on organised religion, god and godmen. Mr Advani believes that religiosity is for "our nation an inexhaustible source of spiritualism, and so of ethical conduct. Those who run down religion, any religion, are doing a great disservice to the country and to its unity". "It is this cardinal lesson that emerges clearly out of this recently released film 'PK' which has excellent performances by the protagonists Aamir Khan, Anushka Sharma and Boman Irani," he added. http://www.ndtv.com/article/india/pk-s-big-new-fan-bjp-veteran-lk-advani-640202

CSK Fan Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Now Aamir khan should make a movie on Babri masjid and let's see his review Why? Why do we have so much insecurity that anytime, anything is directed at Hindusim we get all whiny and point fingers at others? The western freedom of freedom and media was born the day when the majority religion, Christianity was mocked. No one pointed fingers at other religions then. Sadly, the very guys who live in the west with all freedom of expression, want India to be in the stone ages with regressive mentality. If Hinduism allows itself to be mocked, it is the greatness of our religion. Why do you want to compare with other, lesser religions who do not allow the same freedom? What is the need to be whiny and feel victimized There is a dangerous trend in India's youth today, a feeling of victimization for something which is not even there.

Actually, even in the stone ages most of our ancestors had more in the brain tank than the average rashtravadi has over the Internet. We had one of the most advanced universities where free education was given to not just people form the kingdom but also international students. We accepted and imbibed cultures - these are things that make me proud of being Indian. After the comments that I see on a regular basis in these times, I am sometimes more than just embarrassed to be born in modern day India. I wish I could experience the magnificent TRUE (not our kulcha defined) cauldron of culture amalgamation and knowledge.

India is a free country and Aamir Khan or for that matter anybody is free to produce anything which passes the censor board. A film on Babri would imo shed light on an important subject. I am sure Aamir Khan will more than oblige. Lets take freedom of expression to its natural conclusion. I personally feel that Ministry of Information and Broadcasting should change the Censor board asap.
