He deserves it IMO more so considering how inconsistent X factor is . He is definitely versatile enough to be modify his approach to more attacking as he has repeatedly shown in IPL 264 or not Vijay will bring more consistency and confidence (to dressing room) opening in world cup IMO He at least deserves to be given the chance in CB series Our next tough overseas tours are all 3-4 years away so the point of his technique being ruined is moot as well

Remember, he is already part of the ODI squad... he has been in the squad in the last 2-3 tours.. Nobody realized it... He will be tested in the CB series, and a call for WC will be decided after that

But you can play him based on his LA performances he is a gun player in LA 40+ avg and 80+ sr with good form in recent LA matches and now add his supreme form in tests! why not ? A sure shot in the 15
kubrickian Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 Rohit Sharma can still play at 4. His problem is against swing but white ball doesnt swing after 10-12 overs. He is a good hitter and can play well against spin as well.

But no probs Vj will be one of the 3 openers for sure
