Because no one will drop Dhoni. the question is if he himself will retire. And for some reason, I think he will. He seems weary of cricket and does not seem to be enjoying himself. And if things are not right between him and Kohli, don't see him sticking. If we win the cup, best time to retire. If we don't, he still will think of it as a good time Only way I can see him hanging on is if Srini retains power and stops him

If we don't, he still will think of it as a good time Only way I can see him hanging on is if Srini retains power and stops him but he retired from tests because he said he cannot go on with all three formats this implies he is planning to play other formats for time being. why not announce before world cup if he intends to retire and say that this will be his last tournament ?
zep1706 Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 I don't think he will. He is only 33 and with less workload from now on, he would be able to concentrate on ODIs. He is extremely fit and should be able to play on for another few years easily, in fact I would not be surprised if he plays on till the next world cup. But then he is someone who has a lot of other interests, so it is hard to tell really. One thing is for sure, he is almost irreplaceable in ODIs.
