What did you expect from our bowlers, most of whom are playing there for the first time ? The difference has been the Aussie tail which scored loads of runs and Indian tail along with the wicket keeper who contributed nothing. A bit better batting effort from the tail should have seen us win Adelaide test, a bit better bowling to the tail, we would have won Brisbane test. There has not been much difference between the two sides. All this despite many decisions going against us. Its high time we accept DRS.

This after they had fought back through some sensible batting in the first two sessions of the day. But it took one session (as has been the case all series) of poor cricket to wash all that hard work away. A greater and perhaps more frustrating issue for India has been the inability of their bowlers to understand the flow of the game. A whole tour has passed but still the same old mistakes are made. They talk about learning but clearly haven't been. In terms of actual improvement while bowling -- this team has shown precious little. They might have conceded 500 runs but they haven't bowled that badly. Indian batsmen earned their runs by scoring against some good disciplined bowling. While Indian bowlers gifted those runs by bowling wayward. If you bowl in right areas and still conceding 500 that is excusable but bad bowling is not.

The team, the coach, the selectors almost everything is as per Dhoni's requirements and plans. Wait and give Virat a year more to build his own team with bowlers who can bowl according to his plans. If the same thing continues for one more year after that then we can go after him.
rkt.india Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Need to pick bowlers who can hit right areas even if they are 135k. But I don't see we have anyone of that kind. We either have 125k accurate bowlers or quick wayward bowlers.

If the same thing continues for one more year after that then we can go after him. Good thought. But, where are these guys? I am hard-pressed to find any such bowlers on the horizon. The only thing I hope for is that IS, UY, MS and VA are indeed the best bowlers we have and can somehow be coached out of their rudderless, inconsistent performances.
