I mean in 2 years you have to question whether Saha (is he good enough), Ishant (same as Saha), Umesh (no idea on him). There were signs with Aaron, Rahane, and Vijay. Kholi we knew how good the bloke was! For Australia I would be very surprised to see Harris, Watson, MJ (possibly), Haddin, Siddle be anywhere near the team.

kubrickian Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 I thought it was an interesting series too and honestly Indian side did much better than I expected them to. I expected a bit more for bowlers but that was not to be. All 4 tests were competitive but a bit more luck or better cricket at some crucial junctures from Indian side, series result could have been much different. With some more experience, I feel this Indian team can do wonders. This is the first tour of Australia for most of the players and touring Australia has been the toughest assignment for Indian teams or any team for that matter. Also, well played Australia for winning the series and congrats to their fans. :nice:

However speaking to people who know the curators at Brisbane and Sydney the reason they were was to get the square good for the World Cup. That does I guess explain it, I hate it though!
coffee_rules Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 1-1 would have been a fair result...I will take 2-0 from the hard fought series. Pitches were dry and flat just like in 2011. Indian batting came out good in this series.
express bowling Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 I enjoyed the series overall. 3 to 4 batsmen from each side were superb. The rest were cr@p. Kohli, Smith, Warner and Rahane were especially delightful to watch. Vijay and Rogers very effective and workmanlike. Both sides had pacers of similar speeds ...mixture of fast and fast-medium pacers. I really liked Starc in the last test. What demarcated the two teams were a) the accuracy of Aussie pacers and the gross inaccuracy by Indian pacers b) Aussie tailenders making runs consistently. Indian batsmen scoring 400+ in the first innings of all the 4 tests is very commendable....because of the quality of the Aussie attack and these tests being away from home.
adi B Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 The best thing was that all the Matches were closely fought and both teams were competent,bad thing was that the pitches were pathetic. this Series will be remembered as a batsmen's series rather than good contest between the bat and ball
