Kiwis are the bench mark we trying to aim.. not Ozzies. Ozzies are good at throwing stumps down when it hardly matters. Either way India is a couple of notches below both Australia and New Zealand fielding, so it doesn't matter what bench mark you choose. Just reach one of them first.

The pitches in champions trophy couldn't get any flatter. If you compare those pitches with the ones you normally see you can easily tell the difference.

If you compare those pitches with the ones you normally see you can easily tell the difference. we just beat england again in odis series away . and if you see english odis, tracks are always like this and were same for sri lanka last season .. in long tournament ball will always turn ,similarly ball always turns on day 5 because tracks get drier and become rougher which is natural. tracks are never helpful in odis and even today track was 260 par and we jsut batted without plan going for 300+ and imploded on the way. only south africa has some times tough tracks in odis and even they have flat tracks where 280 is par .. new zealand also had very flat track when we toured recently and when west indies toured before us .

They didn't just magically become a good batting pitch as soon as India come out to bat, and become a minefield once the opposing team is batting.
