The picture also looks from eastern part of India from the way the lady is dressed and the other men/boys look.

It'll take couple of days to bring all the EVMs from all the remote regions of a Delhi to the counting centre... :dontknow: Dont forget time required for tampering. I guess its general practice followed in big states due to logistics where all EVMs of particular regions bought to a center. May be its time to start experimenting in small states how this system can improvex.

Texan Posted February 8, 2015 Author Posted February 8, 2015 Check the states that BJP did not win - Telangana, Andhra, TN and others. They barely made a mark even after massive influx of cash, celebrities etc. But Congress got destroyed in these states - even VERY popular guys here lost their seats as they belonged to Congress. BJP did diddly squat here. The states where they destroyed Congress - Maharashtra, UP (BIG congress stronghold), Punjab, Haryana etc. were VERY intuned with the Anna Hazare movement. And with no body properly bashing BJP as well (understandable as they were in the opposition) and AAP not properly supported by Anna Hazare in the right time, it largely benefited BJP - especially among the poor and lower-middle class the biggest constituency of Congress. The poor people felt that the high prices etc. were cause of CORRUPTION which was headed by CONGRESS (the ruling party). This benefited BJP hugely and was headed by --- Jan Lok Pal movement which got wide media coverage and was viewed as a non-partisan movement against the RULING CLASS - it was just that Congress was the ruling class and with Anna Hazare (A Gandhi type figure loved by all) keeping his mouth shut against the BJP - it helped them a lot more than they care to admit especially the timing so close to the elections. Sorry to say but MODI benefited HUGELY from Jan Lok Pal movement and Anna Hazare not openly backing AK who could have made a huge dent to BJP support in certain states in national elections. Enough of a dent to give Modi only a minority government. This is the reason he gave Kiran Bedi the seat IMHO as a payback for the favor as he KNOWS how much it benefited him. If Anna Hazare campaigned for AAP - they would have made a HUGE dent to BJP anti-incumbency support. Because congress was decimated everywhere, I mean literally decimated - even anti-incumbency doesn't sway that much of the public - it was 100% the Jan Lok Pal movement. All the states that you have mentioned where BJP didn't win much, they have never been successful in the past. They have very little organization there. By the way, Anna Hazare did campaign for TMC. How many seats did they win outside Bengal? I remember there was supposed to be a joint rally in Delhi with Mamata and Hazare and it had to be canceled because there was very little turnout and Hazare decided not to even go for the rally.

Our mainstream media has already started gloating about the exit polls and how it marks the end of Modi. BJP needs to not analyze this elections in that manner. Fact is Delhi state elections does not matter much in national politics. Our media is trying to relate this supposedly BJP defeat to everything such as how there could lead to mid-term polls. Its previous success in MH, HR, JK, JH is already being forgetten. Delhi exit polls should only be seen as a small dent. Media will amplify it which aren't true at all. And supposedly exit polls are correct, BJP needs to identify its reasons correctly. The reasons being it's own lack of initiative and internal fighting. And the large ground work done by AAP so credit to Kejriwal. It's only these reasons which should be the focus.

The Gurajat election 2007 was all about Modi-bashing and extensive Congress propaganda, even the exit polls showed a trumping majority for Congress. BJP would be hoping that is the case this time as well. Really, this elections is one weird elections. There are still 2 very different numbers being circulated. On social media, there is still some positive numbers for BJP and those people have got previous elections correct. We should also remember post LS-elections, our opinion polls have been generally wrong with some gross overestimation of BJP. So I am hoping this time it is some serious underestimation of BJP.
