http://www.vox.com/2015/2/10/8016379/jon-stewart-takedowns His take on GB is comedy gold! cricaddict, he was not real news, but made sense more than most of the so-called analysts!
he was definitely real news. Just had a comedic spin to it but as far as knowledge and awareness is concerned he was second to none There was a survey among viewers of msnbc, fox and the daily show and the dailyshow viewers were most aware of whats going on

Preferred to Colbert to Stewart. With both gone, Comedy Central will once again become just a channel I switch to when there are good movie re-runs. If John Oliver comes in to host a show, that would make up for it.

I think there as couple of things which result in information overload His show doesn't have any break so he talks for straight 30 mins and since there are no clippings, skits or interviews, it's just him talking non stop. The show is weekly so there is a lot of information he wants to cover

Jon's show had a bit of comedy, bit of sarcasm, bit of truth, bit of knowledge, bit of everything in the right proportion. He definitely had the most appealing delivery style among the three. Look at the guys who worked for him. Colbert, Steve Carrell, John Oliver. All talented. Never gave the vibe even once that he was haughty or arrogant or self-centered.

He cherry-picked bits from real-news to do social commentary. It would appeal to a liberal-minded audience. But it is all good fun..It is not real news, republicans took him too seriously as it seemed like he was targetting them. I wouldn't go to ComedyCentral DS to get real news. He filled the liberal space for a FoxNews equivalent in having propagandic view of news.
